#102 Posted: 7/22/2012 4:43:19 PM Penn State has not been a competitor in the national stage for many many years. They have been good in the Big Ten that has been down for quite a few years.
Being a contender on the national stage means 1 win or less in a season and with an actual chance at the title game. Penn State has not been in that position very often in the last 20 years.
You can be a top 10 team and NOT a national threat. |

#105 Posted: 7/23/2012 10:24:38 AM Well this is the NCAAs new version of the death penalty. It not only brings down Penn State but it keeps them breathing enough for everyone to come and kick them while they are down. Penn St is getting what they deserve, if they had any class at all they would have self imposed something along these lines and saved some face. The program and the university are a damn disgrace. |

But much to your distaste, Hackenberg got a fifth star and he and Breneman announced they are staying as commitments through hell or high water along with at least 4 others such as Mahon and Sickels.
So thanks for the bump!! |

#113 Posted: 2/24/2013 4:00:48 PM Are they still going to allow athletes to use those same showers that Sandusky was pumping lil kids in the azz?
Those showers should be blown up to bit and pieces |

must point out trolling at this point. this thread is about recruits, not joe paterno.
at least get his quotes right if you are going to quote the man.
"with the benefit of hindsight, i wish i had done more" is the correct quote, dont twist words to fit your narrative.
its not hard, do some research and figure it out.
pick up the posnanski book, read the second half and see how much paterno and sandusky despised each other, so much so that other coaches thought they would physically fight each other. sure, joe covered for a guy he hated.
and your wait til the end of the weekend quote, he reported it that day, this has already been defused by court documents and legal reps. nice try again.

there was no conviction for a rape in the penn state showers, victim 2 charges were dropped involving rape at psu and vic 2 said on record that no rape occurred in those showers.
all other convictions had nothing or very little to do with penn state facilities at all, in fact none did.

#117 Posted: 2/26/2013 1:00:06 PM so wise basically your school did nothing wrong is that what your saying?
To be honest i'm done arguing with ya you don't get it and you never will and thats fine thats your right. The reason people don't like your school are the loudmouths like you wise. A lot of you guys are mouthy and don't know when to zip it
I'll give you a piece of advice wise as a play by play man i was taught 1 thing about the media. Never let the facts get in the way of a good opinion. My hope is the big 10 gets rid of you guys but they aren't smart enough to do that you guys imo give a bad name to the big 10 and didn't deserve to be there in the 1st place
I wish you the best of luck in your life wise i suggest you quit copping attitude about your school because nobody will want to be around you.
P.S. On October 12th when Michigan destroys penn state we will be even |

Clearly if this was your kids getting butt plowed by that creep it would be a different story.
Starting to think wise likes it in the azz which is why he sees nothing wrong with this behavior. |

completely false, you my friend dont even know enough to know what you dont know.
simply pick up a report, freeh/paterno, go to framingpaterno.com and read the posnanski book. if you are too lazy to do any of those, then ignorance and you will continue to get along very well. |

PSU is to blame, their PR department fumbled this whole situation with the media from the get go, the BOT needed a scapegoat because they were the ones who granted emeritus status to Sandusky when Paterno was against it, and that was spearheaded by current Prez, who you said you admired in a previous post, Rodney Erickson.
If you picked up the book by Posnanski and at a minimum read the 2nd half of it, picked up a report, you would clearly understand this and how much Paterno hated Sandusky and vice versa. If people dont think this is all a big joke to Jerry with what happened to Paterno then you cant read between the lines. Jerry is laughing in prison that Paterno was roped into this.
As a school, PSU had a responsibility, but not as much as any other citizen would to identify this. If you read the Clemente report about nice guy groomers in the Paterno report you would understand this and how hard these creeps are to spot. Furthermore, as far as responsibility I would say the Police (who investigated Jerry in 1998), CYS, 2nd Mile, Children therapists (who were all aware of 1998 and 2001), Sanduskys wife, the former AG Tom Corbett and current PA GOV who is now suing the NCAA, the childrens parents, the childrens high school coaches and teachers, who ran away from a ABC interview are all more responsible in this then PSU.
Still dont get if you are not a UofM fan why you are so interested in that game and how we will get even? That does not make sense, at all. I have lived in Michigan for many years of my life, its a great state, still have family there who are UofM fans, and reluctantly had to move from the state for wife's job. I always appreciated the Michigan/PSU games, even though Michigan home refs cheated in two of those games, they were classics. Perhaps Michigan will stop the 3 game losing streak they have to PSU, should be a great game. PSU made it their homecoming game and it will be the opening of the new Pegula hockey arena that weekend. You should go, I will be there and would be happy to buy you a drink and introduce you to many great people who live/went to Penn State. Some of the most educated and nicest people in the world who dont deserve the blame for Sandusky actions.
There is no argument between us imo, you have not taken the time to read anything you must in order to get facts, that is obvious. It is clear, anyone who has solely relied on the media for their info has been sorely mislead.
Those that have actually read the literature i have suggested, even PSU and/or Paterno's biggest detractors have now at a minimum came out and said there was no cover up. |

#122 Posted: 2/27/2013 12:05:35 AM well wise i will say this nice thing about your school i like your new ad and president. They seem like good people who are trying to move forward with the penalties handed down to them. I think the media forgets Sandusky is the monster 99% of the time
Also had a family member go to the psu hospital and they were treated with class. I'll never like PSU but i give credit is due
Letting you know wise if any school in michigan had the same scandal i'd have been on here calling for a death penalty. If michigan or MSU had been in PSU's situation i would've called for a death penalty as well. I did the same with miami
I'm done arguing and getting in pissing contests with you wise so BOL to ya sir
I wish the media would realize sandusky is the monster though |

#123 Posted: 2/27/2013 11:33:30 AM Its okay to not like a school for certain reasons football related, but the school is about much more than football and glad to hear your family was treated with class at a local PSU hospital.
Earlier this month PSU broke the record by getting over 12 million in donations for THON.
THON is the largest run student philanthropic organization in the world and it is run by PSU students and local hopsital for the cure of pediatric cancer. It is held each year at the PSU basketball home at the Bryce Jordan Center. We STAND from for 46 hours for those that cannot. We have done this since the 1970s and it is now taken on a whole new level of importance and interest.
THON, FTK, WE ARE PROUD
