I think this is a mismatch of epic proportions. Wlad is the best heavyweight in the world and defends his titles against a blown up cruiser weight who has fought 3 times at heavyweight against Vinny Maddalone, Fres Oquendo and Timur Ibragimov and gets a shot at the heavyweight title.
Taking the under with a safety first fighter like Wlad is not always prudent, but I full expect Mormeck to get KO'd early here..

#2 Posted: 3/2/2012 1:07:16 PM Right now on 5dimes the o/u is 6.5 rds. The line is -115 for over and -105 for under. This seems crazy to me, yet I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger. I've watched too many Klitschko fights where I'm screaming at the TV because they won't step up the activity and finish a guy they are clearly dominant against. |

#6 Posted: 3/2/2012 11:37:11 PM His last bout against David Haye he won by decision. 09/11/2010 10th Round KO win against Samuel Peters. 03/20/2010 12th Round KO win against Eddie Chambers. 06/20/2009 9th Round RTD win against Ruslan Chagaev. 12/13/2008 7th Round TKO win against Hasim Rahman. 07/12/2008 11th Round KO win against Tony Thompson.
He had 5 straight stoppages (3 late-round KOs, 1 mid-round TKO, 1 late-round RTD)
For those not familiar with RTD, there is often debate on it's exact terminology between "Retired" or "Referee Technical Decision".
(Retired) is a term used when the referee stops a fight after a round has been completed. He may do so using his own or the doctor's judgement or when a fighter has indicated that he does not want to continue. RTDs are often recorded as TKOs and are included in a boxer's knockout total.
(Referee Technical Decision) is a term used in boxing when a fight ends because a fighter refuses to continue (or a fighter's corner refuses to allow the fighter to continue).

#8 Posted: 3/2/2012 11:58:38 PM thanks for the stats zouk
his jab-jab approach doesnt lean me towards a KO, Mormeck may be a journeyman but he can clearly stay on his feet, 11/2 in some places for him to lose on points is undeniably big |

#9 Posted: 3/3/2012 10:34:16 PM mormeck will come straight to klitschko, wladimir will stand his ground use the jab and really bust mormeck up with it, this fight will not go past 5 rounds, I think wladimir will ko mormeck with a straight right between mormeck's high guard. mormeck is tailor made for the best heavyweight in the world. klitschko will shine. UNDER as well a wladimir by KO in a parlay |

#10 Posted: 3/4/2012 4:29:43 AM I now realize that the fight was already over by the time I wrote the last post, as I had no plans of watching the fight on pay per view for 50 dollars, I had no idea what time the fight was set to go off, my prediction was correct though, as klitschko is damn good, the only one that i see that could actually challenge wladimir is deontay wilder, but wilder would not be ready for a fight of this magnitude for at least 18 to 24 months and klitshcko is not getting younger, I actually think that wladimir will retire as the champ, but if he does not and he deciedes to fight on until beaten, than to me wilder is the only one on the horizon that has even the slightest of chances (other than vitili of course) |

#11 Posted: 3/4/2012 5:06:04 PM Wlad will have a good shot at 26 title defense to break Joe Louis record, he won't need much rest for his next defense. |
