#1 Posted: 5/25/2012 11:33:29 AM Even though they are marked at +150 and the Spurs at -190 to win the West I think it is a clear bet to take the Thunder to win it all...Spurs wont be able to keep up with Durant, Westbrook and Harden in a best of 7 series.

#2 Posted: 5/25/2012 12:02:36 PM With all due respect... I think I will have to fade you on this one. Although I would love to see OKC in the Finals... it's really hard to beat the Spurs when it comes to TEAM play... All of the SPURS players are very unselfish players. The team is just solid...
Plus, I believe they are on an 18 game winning streak, and I do not see a long stretch of losing, happening in this series. I believe that it will be the Spurs in 6...
BOL to you anyhow... |

#4 Posted: 5/25/2012 12:44:32 PM Thunder has the edge on defense and it should be easy for OKC to get in the paint against the Spurs as well. OKC will have to shoot well to win and score in the paint or SA offense destroys them. POPs is good with matchups and i wonder who he will have guarding westbrook because Parker and Ginobli can't do it. |

#7 Posted: 5/25/2012 4:03:19 PM I just dont see the Spurs keeping up with the Thunder...yes they have young guys also, but their young guys are rookies compared to all-stars Durant and Westbrook, Harden might as well be an all star also....OKC in 6

#9 Posted: 5/25/2012 5:10:25 PM There was an article out on covers that books will lose a lot if Spurs win.
Books will try to entice play on OKC to hedge against SPURS win.
GO SPURS!!!!

#10 Posted: 5/25/2012 6:09:35 PM Price wise it's a good play , with everyone calling for a seven game series it amounts almost to a ML play for game 7 |

#11 Posted: 5/25/2012 6:24:37 PM I think the series comes down to which team is better able to take the other out of their offense. in that regard, it will be easier for the spurs to shutdown 3 guys. the thunder will have to shut down 8.

#13 Posted: 5/25/2012 10:04:37 PM spurs pretty much have the deepest bench in the nba
and coach pop has a hack a ibaka or collison scheme up his sleeve
okc doesn't match up well with spurs, and like someone said okc has to shut down like more than duncan, parker, ginobli because their team is deep.

Could go the other way with that too buddy. Thunder could have swept the lakers but Kobe game 3 heroics. The spurs beat two bad teams they have yet to be tested in these playoffs. So in fact the thunder in this case is the different animal |

That is a really bad number you're seeing/getting. I see Thunder to win the series +179, Spurs -199. |

#17 Posted: 5/25/2012 10:33:15 PM I'm thinking of taking OKC to win the series +179, OKC to win 4-2 and if it goes 7, obviously take the Spurs.
Any thoughts? |

#19 Posted: 5/25/2012 10:41:59 PM i have okc +300 early in the season, then when sa was a few games back of okc, i thought they might catch them for the 1 seed, so i got sa +400 and +330 ish. i won 2 dimes on this series even before it began
im happy i hedged, my gut tells me the home court is the difference in this series. my guess is san antonio wins this series in 7 games
if okc had home court id say okc in 7. i think HOME COURT IS HUGE HERE, okc really blew it by letting sa pass them in the standings to steal home court.
i dont think there is anyway okc can be up 2-0 going back to okc for game 3, but it possible sa could be up 2-0 going back to okc, or 1-1 tie i think is most likely. this will bea good series i think |

#20 Posted: 5/25/2012 10:51:41 PM If OKC steals Game 1 or Game 2 they're going to the finals. They will not lose in Oklahoma City. At least that's what I'm banking on. Sea of blue.

#21 Posted: 5/25/2012 11:56:37 PM game 1 bank on the spurs on money line this is very important game for them they will give it all on game 1 ,coach popo will set this game 1 in a very high tone.if ever okc wins the first game then they might win the series that's why this is very crucial for spurs not to loose game1 . |

What makes you think the Spurs can't win on the road?

#23 Posted: 5/26/2012 10:31:01 AM This series is extremely even...I see 3 key areas where the Spurs should excel and that should make the difference in who comes out the winner...the first two have been mentioned, but I am surprised no one has mentioned the third...
The three areas are bench, coaching, and playoff experience...
The Thunder did expect to make it this far but they were ecstatic when they beat the Lakers...everything they do from here on out is icing on the cake because they have never been this far...The Spurs have had NBA Championship on their minds since day 1...anything less would be a failure...with their experience and superior mindset they will move on and then defeat the Heat in the Finals! |
