page192,,,,

been reviewing the Cards/Marlins game and think the best play is the Under in first 5 and full game

believe line is 3.5 for first 5 and 7 for game
with low scoring by Marlins i think UNDER is the better play for both 5 and 9 inn
Still think edge goes to cards esp in latter innings for game win,,
3-0 t nite,,,,,

funny went back last year on 04/05/12 to review post #  202
Buehrle vs Cueto both pitched and the score after 5 inn was 1-0
so the Under was a WIN

these upcoming games are going to be under rated while everyone focuses on march madness.  do you recall what the records were for the last few years you have done this?

Good to see you again

2010 ST was pretty much the same result but different teams

In this thread back some i did list 2010 streak results
I used the streak results for the first 10 starts to get some type of RF/Ra totals

I just went back thru the entire thread and i suggest you do that so you get a better handle on the approach in all of ST last year as i just did

Regarding St, most don't play it but IMO it educates you for the beginning of the start of the MLB Season and there is a lot of money to be had just following teams that are hitting and scoring against those that aren't

Went back and looked at teams in first month April of 2012 Season and their records

AL for 9 inn

Boston 127 RF vs 124 RA they had a very bad start but by last 10 days they picked it up with a 6-0 win Streak going into May,Finishing at (11-11)

Texas was on fire out the box and finished 117- RF vs 67 RA( They also had a 8-0  win streak (12th thru 20th) Finishing at (17-6)

Jays who were out of control in ST ( 18-0 streak  )  went for month of April 108 RF vs 96 RA  finishing at (12-11)

Cleve was 105 RF vs RA 95 with one 4-0 win streak mid month to help them Finish at (12-12)

Rays went 106 RF vs 98 RA and did have a 0-4 Mid and a 6-0 streak later in the month which helped them ,Finish (15-8)

Minn had a very bad month 87 RF vs 124 RA = -37 add three bad losing streaks 0-5,0-3, 0-6 pretty much tells it all and finished at (5-17)

Oakland had  67 RF vs 87 RA = -20 but escaped with just two 0-3 streaks and finished at (10-12)

balance of teams went
Chw (11-11) 85 RF vs 82 RA
Det (11-10)  92 RF vs 92 RA
KC  (6-15)   83 RF vs 102 RA
Laa (9-14)  80 RF vs 94 RA  should be better with Hamilton
Nyy (13-9)  109 RF vs 102 RA
Sea (10-12)  (90 RF vs 94 RA)

NL to follow ( need to take a break) we do have time

WOW rms your right on my butt,,thought i could sneek in and post and nobody would see me

Since its just the first day of ST we have nothing to use as a good reason to wager  as could be, just a crap shoot but

From Last years ST first few days i'm going to use that as my wedge who will win today

Atlanta lost its first 2 starts and actually went (1-5) last year and Detroit won its first 4 games
so i'm playing Detroit
________________________________________
KC won its first 2 starts and actually went (4-2) in their first 6 starts

Texas Lost its first 2 starts and actually went (1-8) in their first 9 games
I'm going with KC
_____________________________________
Cinn had a push 6-6 their first game and actually went (3-2 ) P,W,W,LW,L after this it gets bad

Cleve was just as bad going (P,L,L,W,L,L,) That push was with Cinn
Pass this Matchup
_______________________________________________
S/D Lost its first 3 games, but did much better later in ST going (12-7) for ST
Seattle Won its first lost its 2nd and then won its next 5 games   (6-1) Seattle for me today
