#2 Posted: 2/14/2012 11:20:47 AM get good lines before they move. some people wait if they think the line will move in their favor.

#4 Posted: 2/14/2012 11:24:06 AM Sometimes you can get a sweet line early, I figured out thats why my LOCAL opens up late because most of the time its in his favor. He starts taking action around 3/4ish, the sweet lines are gone by then. |

#5 Posted: 2/14/2012 11:45:06 AM Other than line movement, I live in California, where most of the night's games start before I'm off work for the day. Some days the only option I have is to bet them early; otherwise, I can't guarantee that I'll have time to do it later in the day. |

i bet Super Bowl 2 weeks ahead right after Conferenece Championship games ended. It will drop the likelihood of over thinking on the games. |

#8 Posted: 2/14/2012 2:40:30 PM I played the over last night (bout 1:00 am actually) in the Detroit/Spurs gm today. Thought it was too low at 187....it's at 188.5 now. Probably reach 189 by tip. I'll take the free pts (imo) for my wager. Confidence in yourself will lead you to make plays regardless of what "others" are playing. GL tonight |

Depending what side of the line you are on, news like this can favor early betting.

#18 Posted: 2/29/2012 10:27:21 PM a better question is, why are folks over-eager to wager at any point before tipoff?

#19 Posted: 2/29/2012 10:27:30 PM Well it can be a SMART thing or a STUPID thing.....it just depends on what occurs throughout the day.....injuries, etc. |

#23 Posted: 3/14/2012 8:57:39 PM For example, I rolled the dice (As I am sure many others did) thinking that D Rose wouldn't play and took the Heat Money Line early....Now look at where it's at.
