From the getgo the Flyers looked slow and sluggish and lost practically every single puck battle against the much faster Devils tonight. Parise made Matt Carle (who the Flyers simply have to part ways with this coming offseason) look absolutely sick on New Jersey's second goal. Furthermore the trio of Parise, Zajac and Kovalchuk were simply winning the majority of the battles and skating circles at times around the Flyer forwards in the offensive zone. Lastly the Devils have a game plan consisting of a strong forecheck combined with their defense not allowing the Flyer forwards any room to skate in the Devils end of the rink. Now I'm not sure why game four is being held off until Sunday night (no wonder the finals run into June) but it might be a bonus for the team that's now in dire need of a win in that one. In the end Philadelphia is going to require a stronger performance from their youngsters like Read, Schenn  and Wellwood because there's no friggin way they shouldn't be able to either outdo or at least match the work ethic of the three Devil players mentioned above. Tonight they certainly were a step or two behind in that department.This had to be the worst effort by the Flyers in the playoffs todate without a doubt.

I hear ya rink.....playoffs are crazy.esp. this yr. As bad as the flyers are playing, u gotta say the devils are playing well. Its looking like the 1st 2week games in the yotes /preds series

i thought Game 2 was their worst. At least they showed up for more than 5 minutes Game 3. The want and desire to win doesn't seem to be there either. Look at Giroux just gliding watching his man score a goal. Hopefully all these people saying he is better than Crosby shut up now. He was playing against an empty net vs the Pens. He better have a good performance game 4.
