He didn't average two carries per game last year but the NFL Network show on the best 100 Players of 2012 has him listed at 95 or something.
They say the players voted on the list, but how did they do this? I'm sure it wasn't what you'd call a method that would produce "accurate" results. I would bet on it.
I'm sure John Kuhn has the respect of many peers. But he is not one of the top 100 best players in the NFL. Period.
And I really don't expect any replies to my post, because who really cares?
Furthermore (and more importantly), how can you make a list pertaining to something that hasn't even happened yet? The top 100 players of 2012 have to be determined after seeing what they do in 2012. I thought this was common friggin sense but what do I know?
Wow. I'm starting to think that the NFL really is run by a bunch of idiots. So maybe Goodell is rubbing off on everybody.

#2 Posted: 4/30/2012 6:54:30 PM Wow, great analysis, he didn't average 2 carries so he's not one of the best players? He's a FB, not a RB, his job is blocking, and pass protection.
This is like saying some beast of a DT who gets double and triple teammed all the time, freeing up teammates for tackles, jams up the middle on run plays isn't a top player because he doesn't get many sacks.
What a dumb post |

#5 Posted: 5/1/2012 2:08:54 AM Wow. I guess I should have said that no FB should be on this list. And you really should do your homework before spouting off with your hole. Kuhn plays a minimal part at best with pass protection because they usually put Starks in for that.
So I guess he's such a dominant blocker on run plays (during the 10-20 snaps he plays per game) that he deserves to be recognized in the top 6% of all the players out there
Amp... with all due respect... what a dumb post.
But what do I care? Kuhn is awesome. Put him in the Hall.

#7 Posted: 5/2/2012 6:47:44 PM Saying no fullback should make a top100 list is something I would expect to hear from a 12 year old. Not someone who I thought knew about football and was between 28-45 years old.
I agree about the John Kuhn comments though. He's not even top 3 fullback in the league. How's he gonna make the top 100?
I would have no problem ranking VONTA LEACH in my top 100, especially when its 90 something [Kuhn] |

#8 Posted: 5/2/2012 6:49:55 PM THE NFL TOP 100 LIST SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST ONE OF [the best in the game right now]
QB RB FB WR TE LT RT C LG RG LE RE DT MLB ETC.
If you are the best tight end or the right tackle or even the best punter, [ANDY LEE] how are you NOT on the top 100? |

You're absolutely right with the statement in bold Sammy. I should have said that "I feel that there is no FB right now in the NFL that should be in the top 100.
However, you are wrong about post #8. He he
Let's say that Kuhn IS the best FB in the league. That absolutely does not mean he should be in the top 100. Surely you realize that the BEST FB in the league might not be a better football player than the 10th best WR. Especially if the crop of FB's in the league just aren't that impressive. That said, the best FB in the league, in MOST cases, should be represented in the list of the top 100. |
