I admittedly know very little about baseball. Except for one thing, it is the easiest sport to win at long term. That is no opinion, straight fact. I am pure NFL and CBB actually.
My inquiry is simple. I am looking for somebody to tail during the baseball season, I dont plan on deviating one bit from their plays if I am truly given a solid capper to follow. Maybe that person is on this site, maybe not.
I would love to here suggestions, and be serious. I have been around the block, I can tell a scammer from a sharp, from a square and so on. Problem is, I have never bet baseball and never taken the time to figure out who can get it done throughout the spring and summer!

Check out the MLB League Contest Page. There's a few great cappers here who don't even bother to post their picks on the contest, but at least it's a start.
You'll see some cappers here in the MLB Forum that will post their updated records daily. You'll catch on pretty fast and spot the Touts.
W-L records in MLB mean very little because of the ML so just follow the capper's Units.

GL
And the units mean very little unless the capper bets the same amount every game.
I can go 2-12 betting favorites at one or two units a game and be down 20 units, then I can start betting 5 to 10 units a game, etc

It is a very long season, with a lot of games on a daily basis, so there is no need to commit this early. Winners can vary from year to year. I would suggest you find 5 to 10 cappers that seem to make sense, or at least sound rational, and track them through at least April. You should have a good feel for it by then and be able to narrow your choices, but remember, a lot of guys get off to a hot start they can't sustain, so look and see how others are addressing them. Are they a Johnny come lately that just got a little lucky, or are they someone that has been here a long time, and other guys seem to be respectful and take their opinions seriously? Even if you don't make a play, or play very small, throughout April, you still have 5 months left and have built some confidence in someone you feel you can commit to.
One of the great mistakes people make on this site they make on teams and handicappers alike. They will get April stuck in their minds like glue and not notice teams or handicappers that have turned it around, or tanked. All teams, and most handicappers will have their moments, for better or worse. Don't let judgments from April effect your selections in August.
If you lack the patience to do any of that, or only want to spin your wheels until football kicks off again, this advice may not be for you, but one of the things that makes MLB beatable is the sheer length of the season and opportunities every day. Patience is required.
When Spring Training is over, forget it. Many of the best handicappers do not even mess with it, and some guys that had success betting "teams" will struggle come April. ST may be fun, but some of the better cappers are learning, not playing.

Also wanted to add that if you follow a Capper, make sure that you follow him when he is on a bad streak, if you follow him when he is on a hot streak, sooner or later he will get into a bad streak, its the law of averages!

I thought I made it clear I dont follow baseball or possess the knowledge necessary to win at this point. Money management is not an issue. But baseball has the smallest returns for virtually every sportsbook, so that is why it is fact it's the best sport to profit on long term.
KeyElement, that is what I intend to do, feel things out in April and see then make decisions at that point, thanks for the advice bro.

First of all, there are no 'sharps' on covers. There are some posters who are pretty sharp and good handicappers but they are not 'sharps'.
Second of all, if you want to tail someone here, go back and look at their records over the past couple of years (3-4 if you can) and simply find one and tail him only. When you start trying to bounce from one to another you will ultimately lose
Third, do not read any articles here on covers or any other site of this nature as the books are some of the biggest sponsers of this site, Go and search the web for 'non-partisan' kind of sites to learn about handicapping techniques
Lastly (and most important) start reading and learn how to cap for yourself so that you are not reliant on anyone else in any way shape or form to determine who you are wagering your hard earned money on

HoustonSports. Advice much appreciated. I do only want to tail one person only, and I wish it was myself, as it is in every other sport, but as forementioned, baseball is not my cup of tea.
As far as where to get my info, im well versed in places to avoid, but thank you

Bepster, good point. I am very seasoned, went through the super square early days years ago to sweeping the weekend in CBB this past weekend, for example. Not to toot my own horn, just saying.
I guess my question would be, if you new to betting baseball, but are very knowledgeable in sports betting and other sports, who would you tail with your own money in the MLB?
