#101 Posted: 9/19/2009 12:05:55 AM sorry I'm new to this but so lets say I got a 17 win streak going...can I still go for the $100k and still have $1000 secured just in case I lose?

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe the 25k is already locked in? So if that's true, he had nothing to lose by shooting for the 100k

#107 Posted: 10/13/2009 10:07:07 AM I don't ever think about 25 in a row, im at 10 right now and i'm just thinking about number 11 and after making a great last minute call and jumping ship on my Jets -1 last night, i'm facing this problem. I don't want to have to bet on tonights only action, an NHL game, but if I want a shot at the monthly $1000, which i'm one off the lead, I have to bet the game. I really have no choice... go for 17 in a row for $1000 and take my time, or keep up with all the rest in the monthly $1000 contest and play everyday. Right now i'm thinking it going to be easier to take a shot and bet every night and go for the monthly... who really freaking knows, i'm just glad to be in the spot to have both chances!
Tuppy... if you were able to get close with 21 wins... why would you say no one will ever get close? You did. Your not suggesting that any of us can't to what you did are you? Not saying it will be easy or it will be me... but never say never. Here something that will NEVER be done again... How about starting an All star game in the majors, at Eight different positions... and he's a gambler too! My boy Pete Rose...greatest ever? Did i just say NEVER?
Good luck all! |

Your right, trying to do both won't work, but i'm going to give it a shot till i reach 17, then I take my time. Sorry again for the post above, your one of the best cappers this site has. |

#110 Posted: 10/14/2009 4:45:52 PM For me, i gotta go after it, both full steam, my real goal is 17, I'm happy with $1000, and if I get lucky and make 6 more picks, i'll say hell with the monthly and pick my spots, no betting everyday.
Just happy to finally have the shot, it makes all those 5 and 6 game bad beats seem not as bad now. |

#111 Posted: 10/23/2009 11:25:02 AM I think that after you hit 8 wins, it's better to take the time and bet on the team that you like the most. My case, i try betting on yankees or giants if i can.

#122 Posted: 11/13/2009 4:57:39 PM Its about going for the monthly contest or taking your time with picks to win the big prize. You misunderstood the topic. |
