#1 Posted: 7/5/2010 2:38:01 AM The Buccos have won 4 out of 5 and are on a roll. All they have to do to break .500 for the 1st time since 1992 is win 52 of their final 80 games. Anybody wanna come up with some odds of this event taking place? I hope as you are reading this you were asking yourself if this guy was serious...and the answer would be no. I am however a Pirate fan, have been for 20+ years, and figure that this streak has to end sometime. It is the longest such streak in any of the four major North American sport leagues...brutal.

As a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan for the past 20+ years I feel your pain brother. The Reds haven't been as bad as the Pirates, but we have had some dismal years. The nice thing about pro sports is if the team sticks around in a city(before being sold to another one) that it all eventually cycles back around. The Pirates have some solid young talent, just need to build around it some. |

i really doubt they will do that.
they play the cubs and phillies well...that is all.
At the beginning of the season they had a little spark, but no I don't see the pirates doing that, sorry.
don't go thru suffering becuz u cling to a team.
I was a hardcore 49er fan for a good while...but once all the main pieces from the organization left..i was no longer a fan. period, and i don't give a garbage either. Pride and blind loyalty is an over expressed human emotion...and humans in general are dumbasses. Be a dumbass no longer and stop clinging to the pirates. Wait until there are significant changes to the organization.

49ers fan here, cmon man you cant call yourself a fan and drop the team because we suck.LOL, 49ers are winning the nfc west this year. LOL wishful thinking |
