#4 Posted: 1/15/2012 2:09:03 AM Dude if you think he is good then you don't know much about football. The guy is a game manager like Trent Dilfer , good thing about Alex is he doesn't make bad decisions and has no problem throwing it away

Much better and made plays when it counted you cannot hate on him now bro!! He is not brees, brady, rodgers, manning, but he did his thang for the team and won the game today!! |

He did make plays when it counted.... He beat the giants earlier this season and the packers gave up the most passing yards in a season... So what is he supposed to prove? Not great defenses left unless super bowl against baltimore... |

#7 Posted: 1/15/2012 3:56:49 AM He also beat my Pitt team even though Ben was about 25% in that game. But Harbaugh has coached him well and I give all the credit to Jimmy and am glad to finally see him not look like so much of a waste of a #1 pick. Also, 49ers are my 2nd favorite team besides the steelers, so at least one of my teams is still in it.I honestly didn't think he had it in him to play as well as he did against NOrleans.

#9 Posted: 1/15/2012 5:10:46 AM For everyone bashing Alex Smith . . . . .
He finished the regular season with a 90.7 QB rating, 9th best in NFL which is pretty good. Another stat that pops out is his sacks. He was sacked 44 times in the regular season which is number 1 in NFL. I am sure his QB rating would be higher if he had a better O line. |

Totally agree!! His o-line is pretty awful, and it did show with some of the saints blitz packages, but he has been solid all year, and is now a top ten qb in my mind. Not stats wise, but just playing the qb position in general! Its amazing how jim harbaugh has turned this guys career around! |

Romo's a good QB....not a winner......it's an embarassment to mention him in the same breath as Stauback and Aikman.....cmon.....zero playoff victories and only one appearance in the playoffs......when the pressure's on.....he comes up short and makes the big mistake....
I'm so sick of his post game interviews....he could have recorded the first one and replayed it over and over.....we gotta get better, we gotta get better..... |

Completely agree... He is nowhere near great, but he is a solid NFL QB now and i do think he will be better next year going into his 2nd year with Harbaugh |
