#677 Posted: 3/6/2012 3:51:38 PM Nashville tonight at -140 is looking iffy, check the odds close to gametime, you never know. St. Louis is looking like a play at -160 |

What you are describing is called Martingale. You would bet to win the 150 you lost plus the 100 you wanted to win each chase. As you can see the dollar amounts would escalate very quickly, especially if you had to chase to a C bet. Labouchere money management limits the risk. You may want to google search it. If you still have questions after that, send me a PM.

#687 Posted: 3/10/2012 10:32:08 AM PHO really shouldn't be a play...they were greater than -180 fave in game 1, and play SJ and NSH for B and C game. Not good, but to each their own.

#688 Posted: 3/10/2012 1:52:12 PM Where did people get the idea that odds greater than -180 means it isn't a play? I've seen a few comments like this now, but I don't where the idea came from. By the way, it's therizz's system, he invented it.

#696 Posted: 3/13/2012 12:51:12 PM Hye rizz , are you using a labby line or martingale for this? How many units would the 1 loss cost us in a martingale? thanks for the input , cannot wait for baseball |

9.6 units were lost via Martingale.
Thus, with $100 units, one would be up $4140 over the season to date.

This is why I didn`t think PHO was a play...would rather make money than lose money. Also a good idea to look ahead when starting the 3 gamer. If they play Vancouver and Detroit games 2 and 3, might make sense to stay away. Anything can happen in NHL but not something I`d be confident Martingaling.
