Yeah, you're right. They've beaten no-one. Crushing the best defense, and the best record, in the NHL means little. So when they maul Phoenix, will your tune change? But how could your tune change if they do maul Phoenix? If they're not impressing you now, why would their beating up a run-of-the-mill team (that can't compare to STL or VAN - they were 1 reg. season result reversed vs LA from finishing 8th in the West) suddenly going to change your mind? By your logic, we observers can only get "carried away" w/LA the moment they host the Cup (ie, by waiting on their performavces in the SCFs themselves).
Sorry, this team always had the defense (2nd best in the NHL), it was their scoring that was the cloud above them. They now have the scoring, hence they're a runaway train. That doesn't mean they can't derail, but I fail to see the Yotes as the partisans capable of blowing up their tracks. will the yotes be favs in game one? |

If I recall correctly, the Preds opened as -115 or -120 favs in Game 1 between Nashville and Phoenix where the series opened in Phoenix. I could see a similar opening line here as well...And for the record, Phoenix won Game 1 4-3 in OT...
All season, Phoenix has been underestimated whereas LA has been consistently overrated (in other words, Phoenix has consistently won when they were counted out while LA consistently lost when they were expected to win all season)...

Since you need a clue... would you like to "Buy a Vowel" OR use your "Phone a Friend" option...??? |

#36 Posted: 5/9/2012 3:21:33 PM The Kings are playing mistake free hockey. I can not recall a more dominant and hotter playoff team without going back 15+ years.Their frenzy type fore-checking is more effective then the left wing lock. They have a red hot goaltender and an even hotter goal scorer. Many old vets always tell me playoff series come down to goaltending, so Jonathan Quick vs. Mike Smith.
Look for the Kings to sweep.
The opening line for game 1 is Kings -120. Jump it now

Never read your post before answering it would be after the fact. That LA is a road fav against a team that has lost only 1 of 11 games in regulation, speaks volumes. |

Everyone thought they didn't have a chance against the Preds either and look how that series ended.
Is that a Coyote I hear in the distance?
