This just is not true. The proof is in the pudding. The Caps have shown the exact opposite of being hurt mentally by heart breaking losses all playoffs. Boston won game 1 in a heart breaking fashion for Caps fans. They responded by winning the next three games played in Boston. The triple OT loss where the Caps outplayed the Rangers was followed by a win. The Game 5 loss where the Caps played like garbage and still held a lead in the final seconds could've absolutely crippled their confidence, yet the Caps came out and absolutely dominated Game 6, leaving the Rangers players looking confused and defeated. There is nothing mentally weak about this Washington Capitals team. |
