Suffice to say I will have plenty of money on this game. Aside from a large straight bet, I will also have have Alabama in several parlays.

I think D Robinson will be passing early and often against Bama's talented yet young secondary...its like a game of chess...the only chance Michigan has is to not play in a predictable manner...i think we are all going to say a Boiselike Gurilla warfare tactical game plan from Michigan. They know they can't go face to face in the open field against the mightly Bama...I am predicting a very unconventional game play from Michigan...
Michigan won't have success running the ball regardless of who the running backs are.

#153 Posted: 8/23/2012 12:07:07 AM Agreed. And as I stated many times...unless DR has had a revelation with his passing ability then where does Michigan turn too on the offensive side of the ball? |

Yes, I think that's about right. As I've said previously, the only way I think Michigan scores a touchdown in this game is on a 35-yard+ offensive play, or some sort of a non-offensive touchdown. I don't think they will be able to methodically drive down the field. I will say what I said numerous times about the national championship game, and what I've said numerous times about this game: DR will have to be able to consistently make plays downfield for Michigan to have a chance. Anyone who thinks he'll be successful doing that should probably take the points. I, however, don't think he can. I think a 38-6 final score should be in the ballpark of what we'll see on September 1st.

Secondary will be the weakness this season. I worry about Bama against Arkansas and LSU (with Mettenberger), and even to a point Tennessee if Bray can stay healthy. But Michigan is going to a run into a buzzsaw in the Bama front 7.
Should be ugly from both offenses with 6 months off...
Bama 27 Michigan 7 excellent point |

#163 Posted: 8/26/2012 2:45:08 PM I've been following this site the last 3 years and decided to join this year. Both Jimmy and BOOM are good cappers and b/c they are on opposite sides it's no bet for me. Although there are good teams in all conferences, IMO no conference top to bottom competed with the SEC. As I stated earlier this game is a no bet for me I predict Bama 38 -13..... Just saying.. GL

Looks like Fitzgerald Toussaint will be starting for Michigan . . . not that it'll make any difference.
Everything you wanted to know about Michigan football can be found here. Starting lineup/depth chart can be found on page 12.

#170 Posted: 8/27/2012 8:39:18 PM Jimmy - I can not believe that Hoke would not suspend this guy. What happened to the integrity of the Leaders and the Best...this sounds more like a Tressel...I think on Friday, the announcement will come out that he has been suspendedfor the Bama game. even the Homer Michigan fans on the scout board believe he will and should be suspended...Yes, I am on Bama, but if Hoke makes an exception for this guy, it will set a bad precedent for his team and make Michigan look bad. But, I do agree, who ever lines up back there won't get 100 yards and maybe not half that... |

#172 Posted: 9/1/2012 9:06:19 AM When was the last time there was this much HYPE for a first game of the season......I think im with Mayweather and his 3 million$ bet think michigan losses either 24-17 or 24-14...Michigan and Alabama have teh same game plan, RUN AND KEEP THEIR DEFENSE OFF THE FIELD! |

#173 Posted: 9/1/2012 9:22:41 AM With the majority of the public on Alabama, I find it hard to believe the line is -18.5 - -22.5. I think Michigan flirts with beating Bama, but bama steals the show late.
F 20-17 Bama, on a late field goal. And it would make sense too, because both teams are going to be developing actually game chemistry today.
