I definitely think the NL wildcard comes out of the NL East. I would say Marlins.

I think the Dodger go a game or two above or below .500

wake the reason i like the dodgers is this projected rotation

1. Kershaw

2. Billingsley

3. Lilly

4. Harang

5. Capuano

Plus a new owner by may 1st. If they're in a division or wildcard race with a new owner they should be able to get a piece or get pieces at the deadline. I know the Marlins are a sexy pick. I actually think they'll play well for the 1st 2 months and everyone will say marlins marlins marlins!! Then i think they crap the bed and finish 4th in the east with 77 wins. I'm not sold on ozzie with miami. Hanley didn't get along with people at SS now he's moving to a position he doesn't want to be Lo-Mo tweets too much. Zambrano is a nutcase. I don't like the way reyes plays the game. Asking to be pulled out on the last day so he could win a batting title, WHAT A box!!! Reyes is a selfish player. If his legs go that contract will be a turd in the punchbowl

I do too kirbs i have them playing the angels and losing in 7 games. It's just a gut feeling i think Jim Leyland is gonna screw it all up. And now people are throwing eggs at my house here for saying that

well kirbs i'm one that does have the angels winning it all. I love the addition of Pujols. Also this projected 4 man rotation

1. Weaver

2. Haren

3. Wilson

4. Santana

If you wanted to flip flop wilson and santana you could. I love pitching. I have the Angels over the Diamondbacks in 5 games

I looked at the numbers of the Starters behind Kershaw and they weren't too bad. Their staff to me id good, not great (behind Kershaw.)However they have a young closer which could end up costing them some very valuable games this year. Their lineup is also pretty solid but very top heavy. So much of baseball depends on injuries, if they are healthy I'm sure they compete and win around 85 games. However any injury will hurt because they really aren't deep.

As for the Marlins go.,Sure you can go and list every flaw a player has and come up with a reason to not like him or a reason why he won't succeed. I think you are looking past the probability of what will happen, to what you think will happen. They have a lot of young talent Sanchez/Morrison/Stanton who combined 70+ home runs. Add Jose Reyes, and Hanley and that lineup is sick with Coghlans speed leading off. This team would have won 80 games this year simply had Josh Johnson stayed healthy all year. Add the additions of Bell and Jose Reyes and this team has potential not many realize. I somewhat just talked myself into thinking they might win the Nl east. Again its all about health but I feel this team is more sustained to handle an injury unless its a big chunk of time for Josh Johnson

wake for the record i never said the dodgers had one of the great rotations ever but if these guys do what's listed on their baseball cards i think they'll be good. I have them losing to the Phillies in the 1st round anyway. It's not like i had them winning the pennant No disrespect but you'll never convince me about the Marlins

Take PHL to win WS. They are going to walk through the NL playoffs. There arent any powers that can beat them. Then hedge bet in WS with whoever they are playing. Win/Win

well the reason i wrote that kirbs is i have the pirates winning the central. And i just want it to be known i don't say or write things on here for shock value/to get attention. If i write it i believe it and if the pirates don't win the central i'll be the 1st on here to say i was wrong

I will take the Pirates to win the Central if the odds are good enough. I will put money down on any team if the odds justify it.

My favorite wager was a few years ago when the Astros still had Oswalt but later traded him that season.

I was able to get the Astros at something like 125/1 to win the Central around the All Star break when they were only 5.5 back in the Central.

I ended up losing the wager miserably as they fell apart but I thought it was an unreal opportunity to throw $10 on it.
