Lose like a man. You bet the square side, more often than not you're gonna lose.

#6 Posted: 2/27/2011 1:34:55 AM The ML should've landed in my opinion. VT wanted it more toward the end, but Duke is by far the superior team. I'm not laying road chalk. I've had a good run of ML parlays recently. When I cash the money at the bank, they usually don't ask me if they were from a "square" or "sharp" bet. But thanks for the advice. |

#8 Posted: 2/27/2011 1:40:24 AM Duke is by far the superior team, when they are favored by 20 points. Not so much in competitive games |

#11 Posted: 2/27/2011 9:50:04 AM Duke is so over-rated! They have no inside game, including no guards who can drive the lane. Have only 1 player who can grab offensive rebounds and he is always out of position. Plus they are a horrible road team! If the ACC wasn't the worst big 6 conference, they would have 8+ losses right now! |

Duke was chucking up garbage shots from outside all game. Then at the beginning of the second half, they started driving the lane, Va Tech got four fouls, Duke went on a 15-4 run, and it looked like they were taking hold of the game.
Then they immediately went back to chucking up ridiculous outside shots, especially Singler from the right side, and clanging them until they lost the game.
And then putting Curry in there at the end when he sucked all game on and off the bench was irresponsible.
The coaching was bad that game from Coach K.

#17 Posted: 2/27/2011 11:22:17 AM Duke can't play athletic teams who may be inferior basketball talentwise.
This has been the case ever since the years of Jaison Williams/Carlos Boozer/Shane Battier.
Duke got a favorable draw last year and won it all.
Look at some of their tournament defeats over the last few years and you'll see they really struggle VS athletic teams who have no business beating them.
Irving was one of the few recruits who broke the mold of recent Duke recruiting, but he's injured.
We'll see how Doc Rivers son does.

#23 Posted: 2/27/2011 6:19:38 PM Duke choked the game away and cost me some money. It pissed me off, and I vented about it. Sorry if that broke some unwritten Covers rule about "losing like a man." Gimme a friggin break. |
