The 2nd and goal play were indy ran and scored... the refs blew the play dead and called too many men on the field...

TOO MANY MEN ON THE FIELD IS NOT A DEAD BALL PENALTY you are supposed to let them play on and then accept/decline!!

Preseason, and these are replacement officials.  Give them a break.

How about marking the ball all the way back at the 1 yard line on that replay when he was probably on the 1 inch line.  These refs are a joke.

It seems that you are wrong. There was a rule change for 2012.

5. PASSED: Adopting the college rule for too many men on the field, which is a dead-ball foul if a team lines up on offense for more than three seconds, or if a team on defense lines up with too many men and the snap is imminent. In those cases, the officials will blow the play dead and assess a five-yard penalty. This change wouldn’t affect the rulings on players running off the field who don’t get off in time.

Normally I would agree with you on this statement but I am not proud of the Leagues decisions so far to lock out the Real Refs,  Millions of dollars are on the line for every team to win and win justly.  This game is a game of inches not yards in metaphorical terms.  And you need the best people in the positions of this game to make the proper calls.  This sport has the most technicalities as far as rules/regulations of any other pro sport in the world.  Thus it needs the best.

I hope they get an agreement soon.  I mean between last years lockout of the players and this year the refs....WTF....this game aint our father's anymore that much  i do know

Imo, the regular refs are just as bad & make stupid mistakes as well.........the only reason these refs are getting all this bad publicity is because they are under a microscope...............

Anyone remember the ref that got the coin toss wrong couple years ago?
