Portugal -115 (8 units to win 6.96)
I do have the open future on Portugal to come in last so a win here severly jeopardizes that. I wasn't expecting a Denmark victory in their first match and I'm basically investing that they don't repeat that performance. I think this one ends 1-0 Portugal, so at the moment I'm contemplating the following additional wagers - both teams to score - NO and UNDER 2 goals
Netherlands +200 (10 units to win 20)
Smart bet here would be to play Netherlands Pick, but today's match against Germany is a complete gut check. They can't and shouldn't settle for leaving the field with a point. Germany is exceptional and there are little to no teams who can give them fits. The Dutch happen to be one of those teams and I think they exploit the Germans en route to a victory and place them back in the driver's seat to win the group.

Croatia / Italy UNDER 2 +121 (6 units to win 7.26)
I don't think Croatia scores and I see a 1-0 Italy final, but don't want any part of the under 1.5 for a greater payout. Croatia was a bit of a mystery in qualifying as many expected them to win their group. They came in second and got stone walled twice by Greece throughout qualifying. From the early goings of the Euro, it seems Greece's defense might not be as strong as advertised. Italy's certainly is and I think Croatia struggles to get any formidable attack on them today.
Ireland +1/2 +326 (3 units to win 9.78)
Ireland +1548 (1 unit to win 15.48)
Crazy? Yeah. Unlikely? Sure. Impossible? Nope. I don't think the odds are warranted here. I watched the Croatia-Ireland game again and the 3-1 final really tells a misleading tale. Spain is ripe for the picking and there probably isn't a more frustrating team based on their heart than the Irish. They can't rely on talent, but they have grit and they battle until the final whistle. Spain should and likely will win this match, but I think there is a chance that Ireland musters a draw. And if I'm right in that thinking, I'd hate to be sitting on the sidelines not having an open Ireland winticket. I'm comfortable that I may have $400 go up in smoke in a matter of minutes, but I'm taking a shot.

Long shot? absolutely. One I'm worth taking? absolutely. I think the Netherlands beat Portugal and stumble into the knockout round. From there, I'm getting a top team to win three games @ +3475 with one of those games being against Poland, Russia, Greece or the Czechs. I realize they still have work to do and need help to put themselves through, but I think they get it down vs. Portugal.
Ukraine / France UNDER 2 (7 units to win 9.1)
France +108 (10 units to win 10.8)
France -1 +200 (3 units to win 6)
Sweden/England Both Score -114 (10 units to win 8.77)
Sweden/England OVER 2.5 +137 (7 units to win 9.59)

I couldn't settle on a 1-0 or 2-0 final, so tried to position myself to profit in either scenario. Of course a Ukraine goal is going to be crushing.
I think the Dutch are worth a shot, mostly because of who they potentially might face in the quarters. They need to get there first, but I will be joining you on them against Portugal on Sunday. |

I still don't think Czech is as good as advertisaed thus far, so I'll gladly back the host nation in a must win.
Greece-Russia DRAW +260 (5 units to win 13)
This should be a dog fight, but Greece will frustrate the Russians more so than any other team they have played thus far. Greece will sit back and wait for their moment to counter attack.

Clinging for dear life to a profit, but things haev actually turned the corner for the better as I was knee deep in losses early on. Spain and Italy seem the popular plays today and while that's tough to argue, I don't see things so easy for the two favorites.
