What VG is suggesting is possibly your best option. Siegel Suites will cost you around $160-$180 per week. You save more if you pay two weeks at a time. The quality of the place is very low, you must provide all of your bedding (common sense), and expect roaches eventually.
It puts you near the strip, easy access if you take the public transportation, but if you do take the public bus system, be sure to purchase a 30 day pass. If you plan on having your own transportation so be it.
If a cheaper option and better quality, I believe going off craigslist would be more suitable. Some might not be so cool about you only renting a month and it would probably be a room at their residence most likely.

#6 Posted: 7/9/2012 2:54:51 PM There are a number of motels on the North end of the strip that will do $500 a month with beddingand maid/cable/telephone and a continental every morning and a pool. You can walk/bus route and you're on the strip the safest street in LasVegas. I'm meaning from the Stratosphere south to Sahara Blvd(Sahara) I use to walk the strip 12am-2am up to the mirage and no problems. Take your shot. |

You should mention the places for the, OP. It'd be more helpful.

#9 Posted: 7/10/2012 3:41:54 PM I stayed at a place right across from Strat SueLinda by Gaslight. Also there was a bankrupt chapel that was taken over by SueLinda that was even cheaper per month that didn't have a TV but was very funky "honeymoon" layout with lime shag and velvet bed treatment. Heading south there are 2 places that I've never stayed at but are look to be that price range.Near the inter of LVBlvd/SaharaBlvd there is FunCity motel and I've stayed there several times. I was staying there when they filmed the ending of LasVegas Honeymoon with Nicolas Cage and Sarah J Parker and a bunch of flying Elvises. Thats the place I liked the best cause you're walking a shorter distance to other casinos and the Sahara sportsbook was like my living room. You could roll out of bed and be at the sportbook in 5 minutes walking. I think they have a Luckys now (Leroys)You could call them for advance but except for weekends they got mostly retiree on social security and monthly bust-outs.PLENTY of parking and if you call ahead try to reserve one of the second-story apartments, fewer people walking by your digs is better . |

#11 Posted: 7/21/2012 2:30:22 PM Summers are hot, winters are brutal. Would not be walking anywhere in my opinion. Downtown can get dangerous at late night, Summerlin is nice but quite up north, Henderson is sprawling to the south. Would not stay near the big city, maybe Pahrump, Calvada could be an option, I own some land there. |
