#2 Posted: 1/30/2012 2:33:29 PM There is no way Mizzu runs away this one, especially on the road where they haven't impressed me at all. This game means more to Texas who is finally starting to play like expected. I will be on Texas, just waiting for you and everyone else to get that line even higher although I belive they win outright tonight.... |

#3 Posted: 1/30/2012 2:39:06 PM Yea the line has been set like this for this post....but Vegas can have it wrong, just like they did for iona and St. Marys just this last week. But they got it right on San Diego St. They beg for action on one side in hopes of hitting it big. They see a team that has a chance at home and puts out a pick'em. I think they have this one wrong. I could go off in a rant on why but I will save both of ourselves time. But you can't say the line was set for posts like these....because there is almost one a day, hence why gambling can be tough to figure out |

#4 Posted: 1/30/2012 2:47:57 PM I started my week off with an easy 1. Texas at home+1. Yeah, Mizz good & beat them on their court at -9.5 & covered. On the road though, toooootally different team & do not cover ever, they won't win in Texas. Wofford-9 will cover tonight as well. Best of luck though, these are fun ones. Damn sure didn't go big but Texas wins i'd say. |

#6 Posted: 1/30/2012 2:52:03 PM Said it in the other thread, but no one wants to listen. I think this line is dead on. Both teams have been inconsistent, especially on the road. Texas is finally shaping up with increased production from Chapman and more consistent play from Kabango and J'covan Brown coming back from the sprained ankle a couple of weeks ago. They played a great second half against Baylor who has been virtually unstoppable at home this year.
This game may not end up being a 1-2 point game, but I think it will come down to 1 or 2 key plays at some point.
If you put a gun to my head I would probably take Texas as they are at home, and are really pumped for this game. But I think if this thing were played 100 times it would probably be one or two in favor of Texas. So anyone touting POD or POY must have their psychic powers working, because this matchup is close and I think the line is right on.

#7 Posted: 1/30/2012 2:52:17 PM I think that Mizzou wins the game but no way in hell is it the game of the year. I think it will be a 2-4 point game either way. Mizzou has struggled on the road in the past but they do have wins in Ames (ask Kansas how easy that is) and Waco. Texas got 34 from Brown at Columbia and still lost by double digits and I dont' know where else they are going to get points from. Like I said I think MU wins but it will be close and nowhere near "game of the year" status. |

Not so fast... J'covan Brown is one of the top guards in the nation, probably one of the top 10-15 players. When he is on, no one can guard him. Kabongo is also the perfect compliment. I've seen Mizzou play some great ball this year, but to say they are MUCH BETTER than Texas is just plain wrong. Especially on the road where they have lost to Kansas St. and Oklahoma St.
Plus, don't forget that Texas is an extremely young team. SIX of their top nine players are FRESHMEN. This is about the time of year they should be starting to gel.
I've almost talked myself into a Texas bet here, but I'll probably just make a small 1st half wager and try to play some live betting if one team starts to make a big run.

#15 Posted: 1/30/2012 3:19:56 PM Texas is an extremely young team and Mizzou are stacked with fast veteran guards. I'd rather bet on a team that's experienced.
Also, I know a guy that played with Kabongo growing up and he told me his biggest problem his whole life has been turnovers....Mizzou live for turnovers.
Texas has a chance because Brown is a beast but i don't think he's putting up 30+ again

GL im not sure how you are comfortable betting on mizzu on the road either.....slight lean towards texas, but it could go either way......it may just land on the number so most folks would push. |

#18 Posted: 1/30/2012 4:46:06 PM Best of luck. I think this is kind of hard to make a GOY pick with Missouri having gameday on deck with Kansas at home Saturday. Especially when they just beat Texas 2 weeks ago. Just seems like a bad spot to back a road team, let alone make it GOY. Texas has showed me something last few games. Yeah, they aren't winning, but they are covering. And for what its worth, other then Kansas, this will be Texas's biggest home game of the year. |

#19 Posted: 1/30/2012 4:48:52 PM As an orange-bleeding Texas fan, season ticket holder and alum, I so wish that I could believe Texas gets this win. They certainly need it. They are in desperate need of a quality win over a good opponent in order to help their tournament selection chances as they are firmly sitting on the bubble now. They have certainly played a few close (good) games but that doesn't really count for too much.
While they play really well at home, I think that they are just over-matched here tonight. Brown has to get hot and stay hot for UT to be in this...and that might happen but if he isn't, the odds swing tremendously in favor of the Tigers.
I am taking a large play on mizzou and a small play on them in the first half. |

#20 Posted: 1/30/2012 4:53:43 PM Who gives a garbage who your pick is ? Does anybody actually know this guy ? I suppose he's achieved his 15 minutes of fame with the thread title.
Home teams are winning right at a 70% S/U clip in NCAAB this year. This game fits no trends, parameters, or situational spots to make it worth anything more than an action bet for degenerates. |
