First off, the team in '07 can't be compared to this team. Not even close. That year was garbage from the start (cough, cough App State) and what Michigan displayed in the bowl vs. Florida goes to show you why Lloyd Carr retired. They had NFL talent all over the field that day vs. Florida, yet couldn't beat App St? Coach Carr (although a hell of a coach for a period of time) lost games because he was out-coached. The Florida game was a prime example of using the talent they had that year in the correct way.
Michigan football is still a couple years away, and the main reason is because of the trenches. SCarolina will win this game, and win it convincingly. Michigan won't be able to block them. Clemson has better weapons offensively, and we all watched what happened in that show. Plus, SCarolinas Corners/Safties will eat up Michigans Wr's. This game is a complete mis-match, all over the field. They not only is the speed a mis-match, but the size is a mismatch too. Michigan could not cross the 50 yard line vs OSU, and their defesne was ranked 7th (IN THE BIG 10!!).
The only way Michigan wins is if SCarolina is uninterested and doesn't show up. That said, if they treat it like they are playing 'Bama or Clemson, this will be a two score game in favor of USC.
