This spread was a bit surprising to me. Have to think this will be an old fashioned slug fest with the score being very close until the end. I like the 8.5 and Iowa at home

Not much of a Big 10 follower so mainly looking for help here.. Just based on past performances, looks like Iowa has always played wiscy well.. have to go back to 1999 before there has been a +touchdown win for wiscy over iowa.  and this isn't really one of wiscy's good years is it?  or iowa's bad?  Similar scores vs. OSU and same outcome vs. NW.  Is this large of a spread justified??

This Wisconsin team to me is one of the most balance teams in this conference. They run the ball exceptionally well which sets up the play action for big time downfield plays to abbredarus (chk sp.) haha! Have only been held to 24 pts once all season and that was at the horseshoe. That is why I'm going to have to roll with Wisconsin over 28 total scoring pts for the game.

Over his last 16 games Wisconsin coach Gary Andersen is 16-1-1 ATS. That has to be the best ATS record in the country as a head coach. The one push came at Ohio State with a late Badgers field goal with 2:05 left. Notably the one ATS loss came last year as Head Coach of Utah State @ Wisconsin!!!

You have two very stout defenses but there are marked differences between the two squads. Wisconsin is outscoring Iowa by 12.5 points per game and out gaining them in yards by 116 yards per game.

These teams are equal in every category with the exception of the offense. I'm willing to bet that the better offense and the coach that definitely is paying attention to the spread will cover.

Wisconsin -9.5
