LA desperately needs goals so maybe he's a good fit, but he's still a lousy player otherwise. And I don't think he's enough to turn that team around.
LA is 15-22 since the start of December LA is 3-7 in their last 10
They're just not very good, and the sample size is growing. |

#31 Posted: 2/28/2012 3:00:43 PM To add, they've won two games in a row 6 times all season. 3 games or more in a row only TWICE!!!!
This line tonight looks to me like either a blatant trap for Miny backers, or a continued overvaluing of LA by Vegas. LA is one of the worst teams in the NHL (maybe the worst?) for gamblers to back. I can't help but think Vegas is just getting away with robbing bettors on this team, just like they've robbed them on the Caps all season.

They are overvalued for sure. I don't think they are the worst team but how can a team with all those offencsive players score 1 or 2 goals a game. On paper I would say they are a top 10 team but both you and I know they aren't.
Caps at -160 is a joke especially with Neuvirth in net tonight.

#37 Posted: 2/28/2012 4:33:47 PM also how much do you like the wings still with Lindstrom and Datsuyk out? Ive already locked them in just based on the fact i think CLBJ's are gonna be a mess tonight after the press conference yesterday. thanks for the input!

Couldn't agree more!
I will say that with regard to LA, I'm not sure that's a top 10 offense. Important to remember that Richards is more of a two-way guy whose not a high end forward, Williams and Brown are really secondary scorers, Gagne has probably permanently slipped from his prior goal-scorer status, and the rest are fairly challenged offensively. Obviously Kopitar is a star, but he's actually produced.
I'd call LA a middle of the road offense with a talented defense and great goaltending. It seems obvious though that as bettors, we should see that Vegas lines reflect what this team is on paper, not on the ice. This team isn't in a "rut" at this point - it's late February!! They just can't score period. And now they just can't win. They might win tonight, but in general, it's a gift when LA is favored against either a quality team when they're home, or ANYONE when they're on the road.

Yeah, Jackets are a mess with all of the Nash rumblings. Never a good thing when you best player wants out. I like the Wings in a low scoring game.

#44 Posted: 2/28/2012 5:19:24 PM Hey X if you're still here...
Does that Carolina line look extremely fishy to you? Why isn't Nashville a MUCH bigger favorite? Nashville is playing their 5th game in 8 days...and this is why I think the line is so low. It inclines me to make a play on Carolina here. Any thoughts? |

Yeah, It does look fishy. My only guess on why it is so low is because Lindback is in net but even then I would expect them to be bigger favorites then they are.
