#1 Posted: 4/8/2012 11:58:36 AM Norwegian Tippeliga 2012: 1-5-1 -3.475 3 units: 0-0-1 1.5 unit: 1-0-0 1 unit: 0-5-0
One pick so far for the Monday games and I have a thing for these newly promoted teams. They have that little something extra after being promoted.
Sandnes Ulf - Aalesund Sandnes Ulf on the PK -108 3 units
Going by what these two teams have shown us this far there is no question who the favorite should be when Aalesund looks like they could go 90 minutes + extra time + penalty shoot-outs and even then go scoreless off the pitch.
Aalesund is struggling in attack and have scored 0 goals with two 0-0
draws to start the season, and they are missing that goalgettor up front
scoring the goals, but it's not only that - they aren't even creating
scoring opportunities.
I think they will have a hard time when they come for a visit to Sandnes who works very hard as a whole team and are willing to press high and attack when they have the ball.
Sandnes have showed me they can create chances and score when drawing 2-2 in their opening game against Viking at home. Not having witnessed Sandnes in live action that many times before I was positively surprised and impressed. They play with great enthusiasm fueled by their promotion to tippeligaen. In their away game against Brann they kept pressing and attacking too even though they were the away team...losing 3-1, but they could have scored more than once in that game, and the early conceded penalty didn't exactly help the scoreline either.
Aalesund is not renowned for winning on the road and in this game they will have to score if they are to collect even a singe point because despite the fact they have shown good tendencies in defense and have a keeper in good form the home team will be pushing so much for that goal. I just don't see them keeping a clean sheet in yet another game - and especially in this match-up.
Getting the home team on the pick'em is worthy of 3 units in my opinion. It might push, but I don't see the away team winning this one. Home team should be closest to the three points.

Well another PUSH with a 1-1 draw in this matchup. Aalesund finally got themselves a goal following a corner kick. Sandnes pushed a lot towards the end of the game, but no cigar.
