It didnt jump to 640 until late in the afternoon, so if you bought tickets before that, your tickets would say 540 or even another number

All it means is that the ticket was purchased before the jackpot was raised. If it turns out to be authentic it is definitely the wrong thing to do because we already know the nitwits name!!
