"I think some of the players may not return to the NHL (IF the lockout ends) because you have everything here and major companies are going to pay the top players here big money. And, especially for Russians players who can play at home in front of their own fans and families and earn even bigger money than they have in the National Hockey League," said Bryzgalov.
classic is Alexander Radulov who is making MORE money (AND is playing a less stressful schedule) with CSKA Moscow than he was offered by the Predators |

Ya, E-mailed the Covers "webmaster" and they said no more "live links". you can obviously still post a link, just have to "copy & paste". minor "pain in the behind" |

#9 Posted: 10/9/2012 8:51:54 PM Rink, links no longer work on covers. Everyone who wants to read something has to copy and paste it themselves. This was posted along with a notice that certain pornographic avatars will no longer be tolerated, and also that there will be more ads to deal with such as the one sitting in the middle of this thread.
As for Bryz's comments, perhaps he thinks that they will all get eaten by bears in the forest

#10 Posted: 10/9/2012 9:59:37 PM i just watched my first khl game on espn2.i thought they played on larger ice. even though it looked like nhl size ice the only hit i saw was thrown by zdeno chara(didnt show whole game, it was an hour show with no breaks in between periods and due to time restraints skiped a few sections of the game)the only goal of the game was scored by alex ovechkin.is this a delibrate attempt of espn girl slapping the nhl? never saw the khl on this channel before |

#12 Posted: 10/14/2012 8:27:48 PM from TSN.ca...
"Alexander Ovechkin drew attention last month for saying he might stay and play in the KHL if he doesn't agree with the terms of a new CBA in the NHL"
"According to LeBrun's ESPN.com blog, there has been speculation that Ovechkin and players like Ilya Kovalchuk or Pavel Datsyuk might consider trying to stay in Russia, even after the end of the lockout."
YIKES!!! (BUT understandable IF Bettman and the league get away with REALLY SCREWING the players)

#13 Posted: 10/14/2012 10:01:39 PM I bet on European hockey on a daily basis...you can watch some live KHL games @ www . sportlemon.tv - they always show 2 or 3 KHL games live. I'm an UNDER player - the KHL & Swedish elite league are golden for unders....and you have an advantage...overtime is NOT included in the final total...so, a game ends 2-2...UNDER 5 is good, it's a push in the NHL...not sure why it is different...but, I'm not complaining. |

#15 Posted: 10/16/2012 7:26:39 PM Anyone have a link to the sound bite of Bryz defending Chris Pronger for not wanting to play in Edmonton. That was hilarious. |

#17 Posted: 10/27/2012 8:46:57 AM Might as well, 90% + of them are useless anyway.
No one really cares or needs them like they used to.

#18 Posted: 11/4/2012 12:07:40 AM My take is don't comeback! Stay in the KHL i won't miss Russian players getting paid 6 7 million to play in the best league in the world, more jobs for Canadian and American players. Don Cherry will love them to stay home just ask him. |
