but the fact is that you have the ball now... why would anyone want to give the ball up with 4 minutes left?
as for onside, you can try, but since its not a kickoff, and its a punt, you cant interfere with the returner, thats a flag. and youre punting from the 20 yardline. considering most punters net about 40. that means bills will most likely take over at their own 40. even if the dont get any yardage, they'll just punt it right back.
if youre down 1, and the other team as the ball, sure let them score to be down 8 to save time. i understand that. but giving up the ball just to get better field position, is, imo, absurd. |
