when has ball st beat CMU by more than 21? CMU won 3 of the last 5 games visiting ball st.  the other 2 wins by ball st were by way less than 21. So why is ball st gonna cover ? they were bowl eligible 3 weeks ago

Keep in mind that CMU has not played for 17 days and they will not play again for another 10 days, so 1 game in 26 days.  Strangest in-season scheduling quirk I've ever seen.

Maybe because they're in a battle for the MAC championship and don't give a rat's behind about bowl games right now.
"CMU won 3 of the last 5 games visiting ball st." Maybe it was because they had a qb named Dan LeFevour, maybe you heard of him. Books must love this kind of thinking.

Radar indicates rain in Muncie from ~ 8:15 pm until midnight.  In addition the weather calls for 10-20mph winds with gusts up to 30.  Under 57.5 sounds tempting based on the weather.

Regardless of the weather, I see CMU covering here.  The weather makes it all the more tempting for a CMU cover.  70% public on BS and 85% experts on BS, with a 2 point line movement in the last 2 days in favor of the need for CMU bets.  Heavy money on Ball State.  Mine will be on CMU.

Ball State 24
CMU 14

I thoroughly enjoy those who post to be logical (right or wrong) with their bets (i.e. lordzud, Dr. Dogs (regardless of the poor ebonics).  GL to all.

NIU is head and shoulders above everyone else in the MAC....bar none. NIU beat CMU by 21 as a 14.5 point favorite. As much as I wanna side with the team experts and consensus, 21 is too high for me to take.  Im disappointed I missed out on the Buffalo game, but I digress. Only thing to consider is the total at this point. GL to all tonight.....Salty

I just read the weather report for Muncie, Indiana. Apparently, it is currently raining, and will be for the better part of the day. About a 60% chance of showers around game time. Temperatures will dip to the 40s with winds blowing SSW at around 22 mph.

I really like the UNDER here, based mainly on the weather report. Any thoughts ?

Yes... I agree the weather is going to keep the scoring low... Under is looking better and better !

The animated weather radar an hour before kickoff shows a very long line of rain clouds which look to be headed straight over Muncie Indiana. It should be raining most of the game. With that in mind I'm taking Central Michigan +21 and also under 57.5 for the medium. It looks like real lousy weather to play a football game in but absolutely lovely conditions for making money on an under and a heavy underdog.   oh lets sit in our warm living rooms and tip one or two to a real sloppy game with high winds to boot.

I fell asleep in the second quarter, but it looked like it was in the bag for Ball State backers…  That MAC conference is tricky…  At any rate, nice job Central Michigan and Over backers!
