#1 Posted: 7/20/2012 3:54:05 PM Since the 2006 season (post lockout), just a simple question, Top 3 playoffs games??
I have the Stars/Sharks Game 6 from 08
The 06 SCF game 5 Oilers/Canes
And the Canucks/Hawks Game 7 from '11
From the fan view, not the betting view |

#2 Posted: 7/20/2012 4:04:15 PM even though I'm a Penguins fan, the first round series last years playoffs with the Flyers was fun just for the scoring AND "Oddles of Overs". was like a time warp back to the mid 1980's thru early 1990's |

This has to be one of the best in the last decade... had it all, physical play, great goalies, and both teams trying hard offensively to win the game... all the games in this series were great |

#5 Posted: 7/21/2012 5:21:58 AM Back in 2000 they had a great series vs the Sens... and Game 5 I remember was the one with the most wide open play in OT I have ever seen, that was a great game |

#6 Posted: 7/21/2012 5:44:51 AM possibly a little partial, but the leafs 2002- 7 game series with the isles was pretty much eye for an eye type of series |

Game 6 wasn't that great of a game IMO, it's famous because of the guarantee of Messier and him taking over the 3rd period... although I agree Game 7 was great |

#11 Posted: 7/25/2012 4:34:42 AM it was pretty cool when the hawks/yotes kept going to overtime this year with the hawks tying it up with the empty net twice |

#14 Posted: 7/30/2012 12:43:59 PM As someone who loves good goaltending... The 2009-10 series that Halak stole for the Habs from the Caps was really fun.. Game 5, Game 6 (Caps outshot Habs 54-22 yet Habs win 4-1) and especially Game 7 at Washington where they outshot the Habs 42-16 but Habs win 2-1 and clinch the series after being down 3 games to 1 in that series.
Same goes for the Habs/Pens Pens series that year. Game 7 at Pittsburgh... the Pens outshoot Habs 39-20 yet lose 5-2 as Habs come back from 3-2 series hole to win it.
And being a Flyers and Kings fan...
The Conference Finals that season (2009-10) where the Flyers completely shut down those Habs in winning 4 of the 5 games by a combined score of 16-2 in the 4 Flyers wins with Leighton getting 3 shutouts in his 4 wins.
And last seasons Cup winning run by J. Quick and the Kings...!!! |

#17 Posted: 9/10/2012 10:27:06 PM Game 7 Devils Flyers 2000 the comeback from down 3-1 in the series.
Oilers Sharks game 6 2006 I was there and we mercilessly booed Joe Thornton out of town.
That one where Fleury made the diving save on Lidstrom I love a close game down to the last second.

#18 Posted: 9/13/2012 7:15:04 AM I love my college football but nothing beat watching a hockey game with all the family and friends... especially if it's the playoffs and the games are close... people seem to all hold thier breath for many minutes during the long stretches of action without a whistle... and don't dare try and get up and leave during the action. You better wait for a stoppage. Ha,ha,ha. |
