#2 Posted: 5/16/2012 7:16:33 AM I see an easy, easy victory for Pittsburgh in this one. Manning will not be in the field that much as that Denver defense is pourous and can be thrown and run on. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially knowing that defenses hold the advantage at the start of the season. |

#8 Posted: 5/21/2012 1:34:19 PM In my opinion the side is a coin flip. Why not take the easy play? A team I would lean would be Pittsburgh just because Manning has missed so much time with a serious neck injury and he also has to adapt to new teammates. |

#9 Posted: 5/21/2012 4:45:56 PM OK if Manning needs time to adjust then what about Roethlisberger he obviously doesn't need adjusting time
Plus, the over/under # isn't out yet
The easy play is the side IMO. That said if the easy play is the total for ya go for it. U'd figure National TV Sunday Nite people'r gonna seriously want to bet the over with Manning and Roethliberger out there!

#10 Posted: 5/21/2012 7:23:31 PM O/u is out and it is 45. Remember Pittsburgh's defense is top 5 and through mannings career he has struggled against the 3-4 defense. Manning likes to control the clock and change plays at the line generaly using most of the play clock. I dont see this game reaching the 40's. |

#12 Posted: 5/22/2012 10:47:51 AM Big Ben has a new offense coordinator in Haley and Haley wants to run the ball more. If it is true Pittsburgh will run the ball more limiting the hits Ben takes but also limiting the big plays by the wr core. Denver's defense is around the middle of the pack but Pitts offense is also middle of the pack. Key is manning will be rusty and Ben has a new coordinator. |

#13 Posted: 5/23/2012 1:16:38 AM Well here's why I don't play totals in the NFL. Turnovers and special teams.
Turnovers in the defensive end leads to overs, and offensive end (long drives) unders.
There's been too many times I know a defensive team is going to dominate, play the under, only they dominate TOO MUCH-punts and turnovers-costing me the under. It's happened enough for me to focus on spreads. This spread I'm watching like a laser.
As you said brand new coordinator in Haley who says he's going to play to the strengths of the team (which doesn't gurantee me a running game but we shall see). The trend for the Steelers has ALWAYS been to start out slow but will that change?
Manning-is he going to press? As you know in Indy, he used to run a hurry-up, like he was in a rush to score-then later in his career he slowed down and read the defense. As you said, he struggles against the 3-4. But when he was good, it didn't matter WHO he played. I knew Manning like the back of my hand in Indy. I'm real curious as to how he runs the offense in Denver. And remember the weather ain't always great there, like the indoor turf in Indy. I'm amazed Manning went to Denver. Not exactly known for wide receievers (helps your under), and they just finished building the offense to fit a guy in Tebow who's physical and runs, and Manning is neither(helps your under)....does Manning press? If Denver gets down do they press? Not good for the under.
I WILL bet totals based on the weather. Even then I've gotten killed on turnovers even though I capped the game right...
Anyways thanks fellas only about 3 months and change away

#15 Posted: 5/29/2012 6:17:27 PM I love this. Football wage talks just get me going, I cannot wait to look at all the juicy wager opportunities in week 1, especially this game.
