To me, it was obvious if you had watched both teams that year up until that game, and if you had followed the rivalry since Stoops' arrival.
This year? I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm certainly not predicting an OU blowout. To be honest, if they played 10 times, I don't think either team would win more than 6 of them. Like you said, Bob has owned Mack for the most part. I'm also not a big fan of Ash and his throwing abilities. And the UT defense hasn't played up to it's potential. That said, I worry about OU's tackling against the UT running backs, and I'm not sure OU can effectively pass block the two UT defensive ends.
I truly see this game as a toss up, mostly b/c I still don't think we know much about the two teams. And I'm not sure how UT will respond to losing a big home game less than a full week before the OU game kicks off. I have no problem with your UT bet, because like I said, I think the game is a toss up.
Oh I see, I don't remember but I'm sure you are correct, I get in more than my fair share of spats on here, I tend to make outrageous predictions and be a prick, its my online tough guy personality joking
anyhow, OU does hold the edge over Texas in coaching, I agree with you there for sure, I don't think much of Mack as a coach and I do think Bob is a solid coach despite the fact he has lost so many BCS games |

Under Stoops OU has had two Heisman winners, a couple other candidates, we've set all kinds of offensive and passing records, and we've produced the highest scoring offense in history. We've sent a boat load of players to the NFL. We've won the conference nearly half the time. And for the most part, we don't lose more than 2-3 games a year. I'll take that. :)
in the grand scheme of things that is damn good, 98% of fanbases would take that as well, I just expect more from OU than I probably should, I see the kids they get from Texas every year and I always feel they have great NFL talent all over their roster, even though they have done alot under Stoops I still think he has underachieved in the big games, Oklahoma should be a top 5 program every year in my opinion, I think that's why I'm harsh on them at times
they are on par with Alabama, LSU, USC, Oregon and those types of teams as far as talent goes |

#29 Posted: 10/7/2012 11:50:11 PM As many of you know from over the years I live in Texas, many things are
wonderful here in the Lone Star state but one thing that sucks is
listening to delusional Texas fans about how good their defense is and
how great Manny Diaz is, Dana played games with the Texas coaching
staff, Geno gave them two fumbles with less than 10 yards to score both
times, their biggest night game in some time and they still got slapped,
suck on that Mack and Manny, Geno and Dana own you both and I love
every minute of it, I will remind every Texas fan I see this week how
great Manny Diaz is at making adjustments
Couldn't agree more wahoo. I moved to Austin 4 years ago and the fans here are delusional. I find it funny.

best looking women around though, Austin is a top 5 city in the country to live in (easily)
great food, great women and its cheap compared to other great cities
its just not an intidimating football environment, WVU was in no way rattled by that wine and cheese crowd |

#31 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:03:50 AM Absolutely. It's a pretty damn good life down here for sure. The women are top notch
I will say that is the most rowdy that crowd has been in a few years. However, it most certainly is a "country club" type atmosphere around this city based on UT sports. That I can't stand. Kind of Ironic though because I work at the University of Texas Golf Club

#36 Posted: 10/8/2012 11:56:09 AM I was warning folks numerous times last week not to take TX...and I'm a homer. I wussed out betting it with the line movement and the number of sharps on the game.
That said, love us against OU. OU can't stop the run and their offense is much easier to defend this year. They don't have near the playmakers that WV has. |

#39 Posted: 10/8/2012 3:13:56 PM Glad your back and feeling better Wahoo. Love living in Austin also!
Anyways, would you mind sharing any thoughts on the Ore St game? My number was so far off, I thought I had to be missing something major and have not bet Ore St yet.
Thanks and GL |

#40 Posted: 10/8/2012 9:33:27 PM Wahoo...Interesting read on Texas. I lost alot of respect for this team last week. I was one of the dumbasses that touted them for a sleeper to win the NC. I really thought their defense was good this year and boy was I wrong. After what Ive seen the last couple weeks I think I'm leaning with the Sooners. Mainly because of Texas and their horrible defense. I think Landry could have a big day. Still looking into it but haven't decided.
Bol on them.
I may be on them as well before its all over.

#41 Posted: 10/8/2012 10:29:15 PM Skip, that's just mean - no matter how right you are. Recall, we did out-stat Duke, and Cameron Indoor is a really tough place to play. |

#42 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:08:19 PM Wouldn't touch the UVA/Md game. Redshirt Soph Sims (ex Bama QB) is finally the starter. And though they got blown out in the 2nd Half @ Duke, this guy is MUCH better than Rocco (7 INTS in 3 starts).
Sims 1st college start in his Home state, Cliff Richardson (RB) will be back on the field and a bigger part of the offense, add to it the fact that it's homecoming....too many variables, I'm staying away :)

Both starting QBs are out. Beavers QB Mannion may be lost for the season. Still think they are tough enough to hang within 6 at BYU and even win it.

#47 Posted: 10/9/2012 11:11:13 PM got some news today regarding Texas that I didn't like, I'm not gonna post what I got because I'm not putting myself out there like that, let's just say I'm out of that play, just gave up the juice and went on my way
I have no choice but to keep Oregon St since the line will be way different now that Mannion is out of the game, surely BYU backers have to be loving their byu - 2.5 tickets now that the Beavers lost their QB, that is the price you pay for early betting at times, damn, I'll need a miracle in that one
- Oregon St + 4
- South Caro/LSU under 40
- Alabama - 17 hook
you don't see me put up totals but I gotta pay to see both of those offenses score 20, I just don't see it
looking at many others as potential plays, should end up with 8-12 this week
