True that i can't see AV staying if he blows it again. Coaching market is pretty open this year to a lot of guys were shuffled around be interesting to see who's left.

Unless Kipper becomes available. LU will be in TO next season.
Let's not forget, Leaf Assistant GM Dave Nonis was the one that brought Luongo to Vancouver in what many in Van considered to be the best trade in franchise history. |

Clepto like i said you're never right, also i dont even think toronto will take that stupidly huge contract. the canucks shopped him so much in the off season no one would take the contract.
If anything the might trade schneider as they are likely to get more for him and more teams are apt to take him who are young and dont have a solid netminder.
I would agree if you had a backup like Brent Johnson or Scott Clemmenson or Ben Bishop but I think Schneider can be a #1 goalie. His play suggests so IMO.
You need to do something to shake up the team. What if AV does nothing and they go out and get the same result...what then do you say? We just didn't get it done. I think Schneider will handle himself very well.

#32 Posted: 4/15/2012 4:32:42 PM They had to do something to shake things up. So not much of. Surprise. Just wonder if Sshneider gives up a few early goals do they keep him in |

#33 Posted: 4/15/2012 4:32:49 PM If Nucks lose, AV will get fired, I don't mind if Habs hired him back.
Schneider has a good head on his shoulders not asking for a trade like the diva Hodgson.

If Van loses this series there is a very good chance that could happen IMO. |

I think he can be a number 1 but to be honest the sample size has been small - you won't actually know til he takes over the spot in vancouver or vancouver ships him somewhere that needs a starting goalie.

#40 Posted: 4/15/2012 4:37:23 PM While I'm not 100% I think Cory is a RFA this year, I don't think Gillis would trade him unless he got a offer he couldn't say no to. |

#42 Posted: 4/15/2012 4:55:55 PM I agree with Clepto on the fact that i also believe Lu will be a Leaf by the start of next year. I dont think putting Schneider in net will do a person garbage of difference because Van is NOTHING without their best player Daniel Sedin. Out skilled out classed out coached out everything at this point of the series. But the decision makes it seem Lu will be a Leaf by next year even more plausible.

Good quote here this team needs to get the special teams together.
I will say Lou seems to quit when the team is down.
Also it was Nonnis who traded to get Luongo errrr I mean stole him from. fla
I would be happy if he took home off our hands again sounds like Eddie lack is ready to step up to the majors as our back up

Yep RFA this year, which is why i think if they shop luongo and there are no takers they will move him as they have to and bring up lack from the chicago wolves. If someone is actually dumb enough to eat the contract of a 32 year old goal tender then the nucks can pull their fools out of the fire - but i don't think its very likely. If its gonna be done it's likely toronto is the one to do it though. Not sure who else can pull it off at this time though.
