#2 Posted: 5/1/2012 1:27:54 AM Its pretty fair considering the opening line was lakers -200 and considering the projected spreads for game 2 in LA and then 3 & 4 in denver. It just seems cheap because of how badly LA dominated the nuggets, but nuggets can and will play better, especially at home.
Wouldnt be surprised to see lakers win game 2 and then lose 3 & 4 in denver. |

#11 Posted: 5/1/2012 1:58:48 AM Books arent stupid and not over-reacting to one game. Everyone just saw the lakers dominate and now they release almost the same line for the next game, knowing there will probably be heavy laker action.
Not saying "fade the public", just saying the line is statistically spot on and the books willing to take the risk at the set prices. |

#12 Posted: 5/1/2012 2:01:50 AM As the saying goes: " the series does not start until a road team wins a game".... Wouldnt surprise me one bit to see this series 3-3 with the home teams winning every game |

#13 Posted: 5/1/2012 2:20:19 AM yeah i mean i feel like if the line way any higher than 5 everyone would jump on the nuggets so action has to be equaled out for the most part too.

Would you be surprised to see Lakers win 4-0 or 4-1..???
Denver is undersized and does not have a legit closer or a guy to take over in the last 2 minutes.. They had a nice run at the end of the season, this is the playoffs where someone has to step up and make big shots. I don't see anyone on Denver who can do that consistently. Not one player averages 20 ppg either.
Lakers win tomorrow by 8+ |

#18 Posted: 5/1/2012 9:41:05 AM @kmoney85 - no i wouldnt be surprised at a 4-1 lakers win. Could very easily happen if they win game 2 at home and then split in denver.
Would you be surprised if the lakers looked unstoppable at home and then went on the road and played like garbage, like they have all year long?!! |

No I wouldn't but i doubt it will happen against this Denver team. I give them credit for making the playoffs but as I said they don't have any legit closers or big playmakers. Great coach, good team at best. I can see Denver taking 1 at home, but Lakers have been firing on all cylinders the past 10+ games. Either way I respect your opinion I am not even a Lakers fan but this team looks solid. I will be at the game tonight w some friends so of course I'll be a fan tonight!
GL on your plays, I love the Lakers to win the series at -310. You are certainly right by saying the books will clean up in the long run, Lakers -4.5 is a gift tonight IMO. |
