how do you know what wade wud do with any extra olypmic money?

he cud donate all of it to charity for all we know...

and fyi, all olympians get sponsers in some sort of fashion since that is their main source of income to train. and if they win medals, u get paid from uncle sam. so who cares what olympian gets paid more then the other. the pie isnt fair. thats life.

so basicly ppl are upset that he and the nba boys got more money then them and mad cause their profession can earn them even more fuckin money... jealous much...

Listen, folks.  You can't even fathom what it's like to be in his shoes. He's a good guy.  He has treated the game right.  He has answered the bell EVERY SINGLE TIME in the Olympics.  Now he's evil for just mentioning that maybe the athletes should get a cut of some of the money THEY HELP MAKE?  Get over it.

Its not context, its symantics. Salary or a "cut" is getting paid either way.

He isnt an employee of the United States. Nike and Adidas arent sponsoring the Olympics. He is paid by the Heat and whatever endorsements he has. Playing for team USA is voluntary. If he doesnt want to play, they can easily find a replacement.

I'm not jealous or hating. He makes an amazing living playing a game. Good for him.

Sit his behind on the bench, we'd blow out any team anyway. He was probably taken out of context , sure ... but that's the price you pay for opening your mouth in the first place. D Wade is still a standup guy in my book BUT like a lot of players lately , he's starting to get on my nerves. Stay away from Lebron haha

That is a concept a lot of people here have failed to understand.

What Wade is forgetting or have not mentioned yet is that whatever performance he gets out of the Olympics can be tied into future endorsements. But I guess he, like a lot of people, only care about the present moment.

These companies make so much money off the Olympics they should give out the same amount of money to EVERY Olympian. I don't care if it's $500 or $50,000, archer, sprinter, whatever, they all get the same cut.................
