Lets dubble our money in february!
Got one pick that I thing looks really nice tonight - IND +2
NIce RLM here + I think this line is set waaaaay to low (MIA -2... really? again?) Pacers already beat Miami this season, and the line was set at... -2 !!! I think books are trying to sell us the same b*s*hit for the second time! I'm not buying...

#5503 Posted: 2/1/2013 3:30:43 PM I'll start with a high scoring game I expect in MSG. Melo is on fire and the defense of the Knicks allowed Jameer Nelson and Reddick to combine for 50 points in the recent game against the Magic. Jennings and Ellis are more of an offensive power than a Magic duo. So all points out towards over here. I also like the Bucks to try to even out the series here but not sure they will do it - but I see them fighting through the first half. The line movements - some straight (totals) and the other opposite the public support my notion.
Final: NY KNicks - MILWAUKEE Bucks Over 204.5 (-110) 110$ MILWAUKEE Bucks +2.5 First Half (-105) 105$ MILWAUKEE Bucks +5 (-101) 110$ |

#5504 Posted: 2/1/2013 3:37:22 PM I was thinking the same thing on the Bucks game, I also really like Orlando and Memphis to cover. How do you feel about those two games? I think they stay competitive enough to cover +8.5 and +6.5 respectively. |

#5505 Posted: 2/1/2013 3:53:07 PM Final:INDIANA Pacers - MIAMI Heat Over 184 (-110) 110$
Yeah, I know all about Pacers strangling defense. But not tonight when the Heat will come to avenge and set the record straight as of who is who in this duel.
MIAMIA Heat -2 (-110) 110$ |

Not so sure about the Grizzlies covering |

#5512 Posted: 2/1/2013 4:19:40 PM February 01, Bet 01 New York Knicks -1 4Q - $150 to win $130
I'm really liking the Knicks tonight. melo's on the zone right now, and with All Star Game coming up and the second half of the seaosn being all about seeing who's gonna be the MVP, I can totally see Carmelo upping his game from now on and posting 25+ games match after match. Knicks (and Carmelo) also like to finish their games in style, especially playoff teams, like they did to Dallas, Denver, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Spurs, so I see them confortably outscoring their rivals in the fourth quarter tonight.

#5513 Posted: 2/1/2013 4:22:06 PM Another query on line movements. Both Heat and Clips have the money coming for them but the line moves against them. But the overs has money coming for it and the line moves with the money. Any thoughts? |

#5515 Posted: 2/1/2013 5:08:24 PM any reason on the over for NYK/Bucks game? I just see the Bucks as being so one-dimensional. Maybe I haven't watched them enough, but Jennings only has a left hand shot/layup and don't they have a pretty awful offensive bench? who else can score on that team other than him and maybe fast break points from ellis?

#5517 Posted: 2/1/2013 5:19:07 PM I cannot support the bucks tonight. I watched the on nbatv vs the bulls the other night and they just flat out sucked. They looked like they had nothing in the tank :(
I do like your heat pick though, good luck to you mavin.

#5520 Posted: 2/1/2013 6:51:37 PM Just a couple stats to back my pick: Knicks are 15-6 in fourth quarter at home this season, scoring on average 28.66 pts while conceding 24.76, nearly a 4 points advantage to their opponents. |

This is probably a trap but I love the Clippers... I don't think Toronto is capable of pulling off any upsets right now... Especially not against a team like the Clippers. I stayed away from that game as I don't like to risk money when a newly acquired player makes a debut. It is not like a new coach. Hope for you the Clips will pull it back - but it does seem like the Raptors are giving it a serious effort. |

Well after much back and forth and some tailing of your picks (up and down) I am still hanging steady at $1300. I cannot pick college BBall this year worth a damn so that is my downfall. So for now I am just going to tail you in NBA and use my own skills for Golf (my favorite and most knowledgeable sport) and small amounts on the local College Teams. Really you should just bet the sports/teams you know the most about anyway... duh!!
Probably the most important thing I have learned from this thread is PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE. Just place your bets carefully and win or lose do it again tomorrow, much like a golfer just taking it one shot at a time and not getting too excited either way!!
Just wanted to say thanks for this thread and keep up the good work. |
