Thanks T99 I appreciate that. The hypocrisy of the mods is killing me. I don't want to be a killjoy but I also don't want to keep getting picked on for avatars that I deem completely in line when compared to others on this site. When confronted with this issue all they have to say is "it's impossible to monitor thousands of avatars". Well that avatar is on the front page and I'm sure everyone has noticed it hasn't been taken down. |

#7784 Posted: 4/9/2012 11:22:02 AM YAHOO FANTASY BASEBALL REPORT___________________________________ We opened up the baseball season last week and what an exciting Opening Week it was! With 4 $25 Dime Club Members in the league things will really be heating up on the diamonds.
Week 1 Results Blue Crushers (Crushalot) 6 Fireballs (Smoothd) 5 Led by a surprising power outage from Corey Hart the Crushers were able to squeak out a victory over the Fireballs in a exciting Opening Week matchup!
California Bears (Booyahz) 10 Tssajos 3 The Bears were led to victory by great hitting by Prince Fielder and solid pitching with Chad Billingsley striking out 11 batters for the Bears in their franchise debut!
Championship 11 (Krams) Aggies 2
Led by a smoking hot start from Evan Longoria Championship delivered the beatdown of the week in knocking the snot out of the Aggies. What a way to make a franchise debut. Championship now breaks from the gate in 1st place in the Bay Area Bashers League! What an exciting opening week as all the new $25 Dime Club members making their franchise debuts came away with impressive wins. This week things will get a little tougher as the Fireballs will clash with the league champs Green Smokers. Championship will play the always tough Str8ballin Onusuckas. The Crushers will play another powerhouse in the Homerun Kingz. The Bears will have another chance at a beatdown when they take on the league patsy in the Aggies. Stay tune baseball fans. #7786 Posted: 4/9/2012 12:25:01 PM I find this time of year the best pick's are generally over in baseball. The pitcher's are still getting loose and the hitter's are ahead of them. But come mid-May, the pitcher's have caught up to the hitter's and it get harder to pick. Anyway, good luck to all & I hope someone catche's the 25 win mark sometime soon.

Blackie Thanks Blackie for stopping by and we certainly hope that you post more often. Your insight is more than welcomed. It's also good to see our Canadian friends becoming $25 Dime Club Members. |

#7789 Posted: 4/9/2012 2:16:10 PM As the Yankee haters choke on their excitement remember this, it's only the first 3 games and we have 159 more to play. The Rays are good team and I have stated that the Red Sox are overrated. We will see who will be laughing come October! |

#7791 Posted: 4/9/2012 2:29:52 PM Hey......I also have another question. Yesterday I hit my 14th in a row and as I went to place my pick for today I noticed that there wasn't as many games to choose from. Do they start to limit the amount of game's as you get closer to the "Money Pick's"?

Blackie The term $25 Dime was coined by one of our early members Swami1. He stops in from time to time. A dime represents $1000 bet in handicapping talk. Our name represents 2 things actually the first goal of winning 21 games in a row and winning $25K but also the number represents the number of wins you need to win the big money $100K- 25 Wins! Hence the name $25 Dime Club with the double meaning. |

Blackie This is one of our older debates here in the $25 Dime Club. I and a few others think that they do limit the games as you streaks get longer. I have had private chats with a few high streak members and some of them think the choices become limited as compared to when the streak was lower. However in all fairness the other side of the coin is that there are people that say that isn't the case and that the software needed to run such an operation is way too expensive. The other side including myself counter that argument with the fact that if you open up several windows you will see different games in most cases. The debate then becomes are those changes specifically for your IP address or do they have some rotating system that they use. We know that they will take games out based on too high of a consensus one or the other but as most of us have experienced if you just open up another window and wait, in some cases those games will appear back on your screen. We have had computer geeks explain how this would be a nightmare to program and yet the evidence points to some sort rotating of the games based on streaks. One thing both sides agree on. The mods aren't going to make it easy for us to win the money that's for sure. |

Thanks T99 for the support. When I emailed them they tried the same song and dance but I told them I'm just asking for consistency that's all. Everybody should be held to the same standard and just because the mods like a particular style woman shouldn't be an excuse to let that stand while coming down hard on me repeatedly for something that wasn't no where near that racy. We have to stay vigilant in this world. |

#7799 Posted: 4/10/2012 1:19:19 PM I love Football but there is something real special about Baseball. I know I'm in the minority on this issue but I still love Baseball and the boys of summer! Maybe its just in my blood. Just saying. |

#7800 Posted: 4/10/2012 1:28:18 PM Look for my Yankees to cream the Orioles today. In years past the Orioles have given the Yankees problems except in September. Since Buck Showalter has taken over he has instilled a new hate in Baltimore for the Yankees and the Red Sox. Bad move as they now have the Yankees attention and we have won 18 out of the last 23 games against this hapless bunch. Art of War-All Warfare is based on deception. It would have been better for Showalter to keep his mouth shut and become a surprise like Tampa did a few years back but that's not Showalter's style. With another losing season on the horizon the smart money says Bucky boy wont be in Baltimore for Opening Day in 2013. His act wears thin quick where ever he goes. |
