#26 Posted: 5/20/2012 9:50:29 PM By facing elimination and perhaps being swept, clippers will take a fierce fight in front of home crowd. i think LAC will not go down easily, they should give spurs a game tonight.
Home crowd pay good money to a playoff game, home team should stand up in an elimination game. |

#27 Posted: 5/20/2012 10:20:23 PM yes LAC have no chance at all--- how can they be motivated after just blowing it out in a monumental way---yes they had SAS down by 24---- then SAS showed what they are made off---and take all the air out of the LAC sails --- and about the spreas this is what i think
1.- no need to compare this game with the utah game--because SAS were always in clear command and dominating that series no sweat---so in the final min of the game 4 SAS took the luxury to empty their bench cus they didnt felt like the game was at stake--and then the back door cover came in with 1 sec left
2.- here complete different scenario -- in game 2 the starters open up a nice DD lead and the bench played attrocious and relinquished the lead ---on 2h SAS played as usuall and open up the lead once more and won in convincingly fashion
3.- yest--was a reality check for SAS --- for 1qrtr they were completely overrun --- and for the first time in the entire play offs we saw SAS playing at full throttle--and they not only overcame the defficit--they won by DD---wich also was a huge demoralizing blow for the clippers
4.- having said al the garbage i wrote--- i don see SAS taking more unnecesary risks anymore, and wont give LAC the luxury to hang around anymore --so i see SAS openning a nice lead and going DD by half--- LAC will make an attempt on the 3rd, but as they realize SAS will just continue the pounding they will quit by mid 4rth as they have noting else to play for....

#30 Posted: 5/20/2012 10:23:57 PM Clips ML is the play IMO...they are obviously not as good as the Spurs, but the refs and NBA want to see more playoff$, so I think the Clips find a way...
I will take 3 to 1 on a team facing elimination at home any day...

Quite often best efforts were not enough for an inferior team but my money will aways go with a team supposedly going out and playing their best efforts, even if that's still not enough. Home team faces being swept, i like it. Spurs might win this game but i like grabbing 7.5 pts. |

#36 Posted: 5/20/2012 11:30:20 PM Vegas said the clippers had no chance when they opened the series line at unbelivable -2500 for spurs to win the series.... This is the typical line reserved for a first round 1 vs 8 match-up... in fact, the spurs were -2000 vs the jazz. ..... vegas was spot on, this was a complete mis-match and they knew it |

Valuable lessons learned . What you posted shark is a total myth.
Did you know teams losing big leads in games have all covered the spread the following game going back to last season ?
Yes sir 100% ATS.
There is no truth to the fact that teams get broken emotionally over such games.
And when you factor in all devastating loses which may not have included a large lead but like OKC scoring 9 -0 run to finish game 2 and win, the team losing in a devastating way is now 9-0 ATS past 2 years including the Clippers last night.
Boston up next, do they make it 10-0 ATS run ? |

Exact Same thing happened in Utah series in game 4 and Jazz covered.
Which means tonight I'll ride the Clippers, best of luck boys...................................
6-1 ATS in round 2.
Never bet into these large line adjustments, the book is telling you the number 1 rule of sports betting, dod't over-react to a teams last game or last few games.
That's why they adjust the number because the public is over-reacting to the Spurs past few games.
Last year betting against thes large line adjustment produced about 80% winners. |
