#56 Posted: 2/28/2012 3:19:09 PM Well this wager turned out to be a garbage show! Here is the final outcome.
Bet365 graded it as a "loss". When I emailled them about it they sent me reply saying its was graded correctly and is a "loss" ( I'll copy the email to this forum after.
I then called them directly, explained what happened to 3 agents on the phone. Each time I explained to them that I had clarified my wager with a CSR before placing the wager they were stunned and transfered me to the "next level"
Finally I got to someone who could help in the resolution centre. They acknowledged that there was an error in the direction I was given by the CSR and that the wager was infact a "loss" however, as a good will gesture they would honour the wager at what would have been the odds of 1.44 ( not 2.62 ) and ad a $100 bonus with no restrictions as a sorry for poor customer service on their end. Basically I was told that I did everything right by asking for clarification prior to placing the wager but that I was given incorrect info and that this would help them train new employees regarding what can happen if they give out incorrect info to customers.
In the end I got $300 x 1.44 = $432 + $100 Bonus = $532
Not as good as the $787.50 I was suppose to get.
On a side note, I tried to get them to honour the original wager but they said they could not do this as the wager was gradded correctly as a loss but they understand that I tried to get clarification and was guided to the wrong side.
They said I had 4 options:
1) I could accept their offer
2) They could void the wager as they have a clause in their terms & conditions giving them to right to do this should I have been given incorrect info ( which I was )
3) Not accept their offer and leave the wager a "loss" ( which would be dumb )
4) File an appeal with IBAS and file a resolution claim which could take up to 4 weeks to even be reviewed. The likely outcome would be to either void the bet or honour the wager at the correct odds of 1.44.
As I don't want this to drag on any further I took Option 1. My account now has $532 ( this has been confirmed )
