Can anyone tell me why Gee's still getting no respect?

He's 2-0 against the Braves this year while allowing just 1 run and 9 hits in 13 innings.  In his last start against them he allowed 4 hits and no runs in 7 innings.  A win tonight would make him the first Met's starter in 23 years to win his first eight starts and the first rookie since Jered Weaver in 06

Dillon Gee is getting no respect because he plays for the New York Muts!! If he goes 9-0 or 10-0 then the books will give this guy his due respect but till then he will be treated like any other normal pitcher simply because he does not play for a good team.

You could argue that he's only +135 at the Braves is getting some respect as it is. The Braves are a much better team and at home. What did you expect? The Mets to be favored?

Hudson has thrived at home and during the day.  I think the line is fair.

He's getting more respect than his first start against them this year (+169), in which the Mets won 3-2

I don't recall saying he should be favored, I just think there is alot of value on this play

Braves were the best home team in baseball last year if I remember correctly and their ace is pitching.  I don't know how much more respect you can give a rookie against Tim Hudson.

its nite game jose

PapaS Hudson no longer ace of this staff.  Think now both JJ and Hanson ahead of him and his back issues still there
