#2 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:12:08 PM It's remodeling at the moment... You'll get a letter telling you that there might be water and power shortages between some hours. That rarely happens. And they give you 15% of your next visit.
The whole hotel is in construction, so there might be closed doors and mainteinance workers all around the hotel.
Still, it has a nice night life. The TabĂș is still packed at night. The Rainforest is cool if you have kids and the sporstbook is decent.
As with all hotels, ask for a good view while checking in. meaning the strip or something other than some roof. |

#3 Posted: 4/24/2012 7:24:01 PM Remodeling? Not sure if thats what I want first time out there. May consider a relocation if its gonna be an obstacle. Were just there for the centralized location and convenience to all the other casinos. Hope that was a good choice. |

#4 Posted: 4/24/2012 7:35:30 PM According to what I found, the renovation will end in September. If you want a great hotel experience on your first visit, change hotels. You'll definitely get hotel-envy if you go to any other of the fancy ones. Depends on your plans there. I was in the room only to sleep and take a shower, so I didn't mind it that much. Also, this wasn't my first, and for the price and location it was ok. |

#5 Posted: 4/24/2012 7:41:26 PM Hotel-envy will not be in the equation. Gimme a pillow and some AC, light blanket, im good to go. Sleep with be to the minimum I am sure. Location and cleanliness were my two biggest issues. I'll find the right casino and sportsbook. |

#6 Posted: 4/24/2012 7:53:40 PM Alright, then you are good. And I think the 15% off is a good deal.
Still, might be a good idea to ask for a good view while checking in.
Good luck in Vegas |

#9 Posted: 5/22/2012 8:53:07 PM Just stayed there and you won't notice any construction. It's so big they will put on a floor that you won't ever see any hints of it.
sportsbook is good but gets crowded early on any weekend day. They have moved poker room but used to be good.
Good location for nyny, excalibur, luxor, and mandalay bay.
I used bus system for the first time ever in vegas and it was great. Get a 3 day pass and take it when you get tired of walkign strip.
I like dealers and feel in mgm casino.
Food- They have either very expensive or fast food, there are more good middle of the road restaurants and other hotels.
mgm is mammoth and a little overwhelming at first but you will get used to it. Lay out is simple.

#12 Posted: 5/25/2012 8:32:07 PM moved poker room further down from where they had the lions. The lions are out. It is just a cleared out area for poker but they must be planning on sprucing it up. |
