#27 Posted: 10/5/2012 5:27:47 PM You might be right baker but Rockets have way too many young, unproven players for my liking. A starting 5 in which 4 of them (Asik, Lin, Parsons, Patterson) have never had a big load of minutes over a full season. And with that very shallow bench, they cannot afford any injuries to Lin or Asik

#28 Posted: 10/10/2012 12:10:53 AM Pacers under 51.5 - Weak at PG, slightly above average everywhere else, Granger has regressed as a player, major source of wins last season was from depth of team in shortened schedule rather than having top-line talent
Lakers under 59 - Lakers have gone over 58 wins just once in 12 seasons, Howard vs. Bynum last year was a wash, veterans could lose motivation, be rested, or be more susceptible to injury in comparison to younger teams
Heat under 60.5 - What's left to prove? May not have a contender for home court advantage and could lose motivation, would need to tie a franchise record for wins in a season (61) just to win the over

#29 Posted: 10/11/2012 3:39:11 PM Topo - I agree with the Pacers pick. Not sure about lakers, im staying away from that one, but tbh u gotta love the Miami pick over. I think they will crush many teams, and tbh; i wouldnt be surprised if they beat the 72-10 Chicago...
There isnt really any spot where Miami wouldnt be favored, maybe Lakers and Oklahoma Away, but they will be favored in all home games, and they will never lose to any supbar teams on the road imo.
Miami will be so scary this season.

Did not realize Budinger wasn't on their team any more, I gotta start catching up on some of these smaller NBA free agent signings before tip-off

#35 Posted: 10/31/2012 4:56:45 AM What's everyone's thoughts on the Rockets now that they have acquired Harden?
I took them over 33 at positive money for a couple units. Think I might add some more. Rockets always win games with no-name players, and with Lin in the backcourt and Harden at Forward it seems like if they can come up with one more solid role player they might have something.
Anyone else think they have a chance to get to 34 wins?
