#54 Posted: 1/7/2012 6:22:32 PM History has repeatedly shown that when 2 high powered scoring teams meet and a high O/U number is posted....80% of the time it goes UNDER. Too many points here kids

#55 Posted: 1/7/2012 6:26:22 PM Here's what the best Capper in the NFL has to say about this game:
If the Lions can keep it close early, they'll have a chance to win the game at the end, but that's a big if. The only way I see an upset is if the front four of Detroit has a pass rushing performance similar to one the St. Louis Rams had back in Week 8. If you recall, St. Louis won 31-21 because they got to Drew Brees consistently. The Saints this year remind me of the Packers of last year in that they are playing their best football right now. They have won eight in a row heading into the playoffs and in five of those games, they've scored 30 or more points. The Saints beat the Lions in Week 13 by a score of 31-17. I think New Orleans will be relentless and will cover the 11 successfully. Take the Saints. |

Just curious, who is the best Capper in the NFL?
And why wouldn't he just move to Vegas, and be the best bettor on the NFL?
(Actually, I agree with the analysis.) |

#57 Posted: 1/7/2012 7:36:36 PM Detroit will need pressure from their stellar defensive line, but NO has 3 ALL PROS on the offensive line. That could stabalize the rush. Detroit's defensive backs are weak. This certainly has the ring of a backdoor cover by Detroit.
Most people don't give Detroit a chance...that's when I worry.

OVER 58.5 (VERY LARGE!)
This is the best play for one huge reason: both QBs have thrown for more than 5k yards this year. Not to mention the one huge weapon for the lions: MEGATRON!!! And the crazy offense of the saints marks for a Over.
If the saints can stop MEGATRON, expect them to cover. I don't see the saints covering MEGATRON very well. I think if the lions go No huddle, it'd be the best bet for them to cover the spread. Probably run a spread offense too.
For the saints, they won't let go of the gas pedal unless they're 3-4 scores ahead. Just like Indy, Brees (even though they were ahead by 4+ TD's), didn't go out until the 4th when Daniels came in.
Just because it's whodat nation and the X factor Jimmy Graham, Saints win by 2+ TDs. Vilma is going to show up and sack every now and then on Stafford. Saints know how big this game is and @ home. BOL everyone...
Saints & Over at 1/2 and for whole game.

I'm definitely with you on the over, Saints might get that by themselves........
and for all of you thinking Detroit - just look at what the Saints did a couple of weeks ago to a much better Atlanta team - in a game that Atlanta needed.
and, look at last week, the Lions couldn't get it done against the Packers "B" squad.
I'll take the Saints until they have to play outside........
When I say 1, you say 2. When I say win, you say for you. ... 1! (1!) 2! (2!) Win! (For you!) Win! (For you!)
When I say 3, you say 4. When I say win, you say some more. ... 3! (3!) 4! (4!) Win! (Some more!) Win! (Some more!)
When I say 5, you say 6. When I say win, you say for kicks. ... 5! (5!) 6! (6!) Win! (For kicks!) Win! (For kicks!)
When I say 7, you say 8. When I say win, you say it's great. ... 7! (7!) 8! (8!) Win! (It's great!) Win! (It's great!)
When I say 9, you say 10. When I say win, you say again. ... 9! (9!) 10! (10!) Win! (Again!) Win! (Again!) Win! (Again!) Win! (Again!)
As my man Triple "D" Devin would say, "Prophetic"..........
That's 2 down, 2 to go - congrats all that need congratulating!!!!!!!!
Good Luck Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

#68 Posted: 1/7/2012 11:19:02 PM Recurring theme with me is NEVER BUCK THE TRENDS. Saints and Over. I feel for anyone that had the balls to bet Detroit in that one. Goddamn. What a betting year in football. Like taking candy from a baby. |
