For lefty Cole Nelson (10th rounder in 2010 draft) and a player to be named later

I really thought Young was doing to take off after last year.  Hard to believe that's what his value is now.

One thing is for sure, he won't be a late inning defensive replacement.

wow IMO thats a steal for the tigers..youngs having a donw year no doubt..but he was hurt all year..young had a great year last year and he was batting at the bottom of the order for a good portion..great move for detroit.

Twins should have got something done last year after his career year - no way was he going ever duplicate that year

agree 100%, if he isn't hitting he doesn't do much hustle wise.

Low risk, high potential for the Tigers for sure, but he is a butcher in the OF.  He's does have a good arm when he catches the ball.

But this might mean that the Twins are looking at keeping Cuddyer and/or Kubel which is good.  Looks like LF is Revere's spot to lose next year.

And he's streaky.   Not exactly a terrible idea to take a flyer on someone who you might get lucky with for a 10th round draft choice and some choade to be named later.

or unlucky but ur right 10th and a choad is probably worth it unless he's up with bases loaded, 1 out in the 8th of game 5 of the alds and then im pissed

He'll be solid again.  Just like Beltre and Beltran, not that Young was ever in that category, but recent proof good players bounce back.

I like Cuddy, hell of a guy and a great player, just a great Twin...But he is going cost em way too much imo after the year he is putting together...Im not sure the Twins want to invest that much in him...I would take my chances with Span,Revere,Kubel, and go out and get a #1 or #2 type starting pitcher...If they ever make the playoffs in the near future Pavano,Liriano, Baker aint going cut it vs some of these other staffs in a 7 game series.
