#27 Posted: 4/28/2012 4:21:54 PM its not thib's fault. its a freak injury that couldve happened anytime.if they took rose and the rest of the starters out at that point and philly came down and got a few stls and hit a pair of threes and the bulls lost momentum and ended up losing the game in OT, everyone would be saying why did he pull the starters so soon. |

#28 Posted: 4/28/2012 4:25:58 PM Brandon Roy can tell him what happens to players in the NBA with bad knees. Maybe it will not cause future problems. |

You make good points, i think they would have fouled the Bulls out with 1:03 left in the game even with the starters on the bench. Even in overtime theres not many points scored with 5:00 minutes. |

Overtime!? Are you guys retarded or something? Bulls up 12 with 1:03 left, there is absolutely no reason Rose should have been in that game, unless Thibs really needed to make sure that 9.5 was covered. Thibs has been pulling this garbage all year, leaving in his starters too long, this time it bit him in the behind. Stupid coaching move without a doubt. As for this ridiculous overtime talk, there is no way Philly was coming back from 12 down with 1:03 left. Never, ever will that happens in the NBA playoffs, get over it.

Their reasoning was that they didn't want to give the Sixers any confidence heading into game 2 because the Sixers were on a small run and had cut the lead. Ironically, DRose going down may have given the Sixers just that. The Bulls won, but it looked like the Sixers had won when they walked off the court.
Roto is reporting that DRose has a torn ACL.... |

Cutting a 20 point deficit down to 12 is hardly building confidence. This Sixers team isn't good in the first place. Regardless, no point in having Rose out there in mop up time.

its called building momentum for the next game. Anytime you cut a 20 pt lead down to single digits (even if you lose), you're going to have added confidence for the next game. |

#46 Posted: 4/28/2012 6:12:40 PM Just my opinion, but with Rose out i think Philly will have more momentum the rest of the series. Philly didn't get to the playoffs being a really bad team. |

#47 Posted: 4/28/2012 6:29:38 PM Even without Rose, Bulls take this series in 5 games. Bulls are a much better defending team and rebounding. The top of the East, Bulls, Celts, and Heat are on a much different level then the rest of the division. It's not even close really.
