#1 Posted: 4/26/2012 11:55:03 AM Grizzlies have won five in a row and are playing for homecourt advantage in their 1st round matchup w/ the Clippers tonight but it's all about the number. The Grizzlies are 0-5 ats this season as a DD favorite. They've actually failed to cover as DD favs 3 times in the past week. Even the Bobcats covered the spread against the Grizz. They've been content to cruise 1st half then wake up enough to get the W in the second half. Win by ten and they're still at home this weekend. Looking for another su win/ats loss for the Grizz.
Magic +15 to win 6 units |

#3 Posted: 4/26/2012 12:10:36 PM Opened at +14 so we get a little line movement fade, also. The play had nothing to do with the line movement but I like having that on my side. |

#4 Posted: 4/26/2012 12:22:31 PM I think playing the over with the +15 is a good idea, because your odds of losing both bets are very low. If the Grizz do cover the 15 i highly doubt its staying under 186 total so if you play both your most likely only gunna lose juice if anything. |

Everything you've said is true...which is why I like the Grizz tonight. What are they doing laying 15 to the Magic in the first place after failing to cover 12 against Cleveland and Portland? Smells like a trap to me. Magic on a back-to-back with no reason to play. I'll lay the number with the Grizz.

#8 Posted: 4/26/2012 1:33:00 PM If you don"t like the word "trap," that's fine. We'll call it an angle, where a line seems irrationally high or irrationally low on its surface to the public bettor, who loads up against it and loses because it ends up hitting. Ever seen that before?

#10 Posted: 4/26/2012 3:50:34 PM Yeah and Magic are prolly gonna be without Big Baby as well - which means Magic have NO presence down low.Grizzlies should have a field day in the paint. |

#15 Posted: 4/26/2012 10:28:21 PM Orlando almost gave me a heart attack! i swear i was praying to have someone on Memphis injured just to show their coach not to play starters the day the season ends. Great Win Guys |

I agree. Another play where you have to remind yourself these guys are all in the freakin' NBA and can have a good night and must have a good night occasionally at least to keep their jobs. Grizzlies 0-7 ats as DD favorite this year. I'm riding this trend into next year. Makes sense that a team with Zach Randolph might have some focus/consistency issues. |
