#1 Posted: 10/17/2011 12:47:10 AM VG, are there any good studios to rent near the strip that are reasonable rate wise and clean, on a monthly basis? Also will not have a car, so looking for something close to grocery store. Appreciate all assistance. Thanks again |

#2 Posted: 10/17/2011 2:22:53 AM Reasonable, clean, on the strip, and near a grocery store is a tough combo.....
There are high-rise studios/1brs nextdoor to the South Point, which is on Las Vegas Blvd and a short walk to a convenience store..and a 15 minute bus ride to the middle of the "strip" as you know it.... |

I've heard several people mention this over the years. How much weekly or monthly?

#9 Posted: 11/17/2011 9:19:31 AM If you want cheap, clean, with no lease and walking distance to the strip, you can't go wrong with Holiday Royale. Stayed many times over the years including for months at a time.
Its less than 5 minute walk to the Hard Rock with Cantors sports book = great lines. You can get a studio with a microwave and small fridge for about $189 per week or $750 per month + tax. Its gated and they even have a pool clean enough that you can actually use it. The only downside is that it is along the flight path as its very close to the airport, so you do get some noise, but you get used to it.

#12 Posted: 11/21/2011 8:21:27 PM I almost hate to mention this 'cause I don't want the rent to go up, but this is my 4th consecutive stay at the Holiday Royale. I go every fall during football season for 2 months, staying at the Orleans a week before and after. The rent for a studio with full frig, stove, microwave, tv, phone, and all utilities (without maid service) is 830 per month. I just checked out last week. They hit you with a state tax the first month, but if you are a regular with a good history, they might waive this by reducing your rent the first month. All of the front office people actually reside there, so they are a little more careful of accepting tenants. The disadvantages are the planes, but they were minimal this year (I think the flight pattern changed) and the thin walls. I had noisy neighbors, but they turned down the sound once I informed them. If you take ear plugs, you won't have a problem. If you go, tell Kathy, Michella, Shirley, or Bryan, the Gulf Coast Texan recommended this place. |
