SPARTACUS

I said wait til they play and then we'll see until then its a moot point. Gave my opinion and thats it. Im not saying the mets are the best team in baseball or the knicks in basketball so no im not a homer but i do believe what i watch right now!

With only half a season to go...???... Hopefully there will be no excuses about injuries should the Rangers get their fair share, as so many teams already have............................. With that being said, you should be cautious about Clepto's stupid prognostications and homer mentality throughout the years............................. I will reserve judgement until game number 100 or so............................

does missing your top defensemen for 30 games and number 4 defensemen for 15 games and number 6 defensemen for 30 games count as injuries?

Yes it does.... GL on your season... Hopefully you bet on them every game so far which would really be great.....

When you place your hard earned money down, it's quite a bit different than bragging rights in the teams performance's............ We use to call it '' putting your money where your mouth is ''.... Hope you did.... '' talk is cheap''... thats another one...... You still have time, plenty of season to go bro....................

Rangers are playing great hockey and Lundqvist is a machine....this coming from a Flyers fan

No disrespect Camby but all i have to say is that Regular Season means Jack garbage....Just look at the San Jose Sharks lol
Flyers made the playoffs on the last day of the reg.season 2 years ago (beating out your Rangers) and went to the cup final. The team record in January is pointless. I know your point is that they are the best team right now (in your opinion) and i would still say its the Bruins, but either one could easily be knocked out in the first round of the playoffs and would all be for not.

i agree that the B's have a slight edge on the rangers, but not the nucks. Im pretty sure we went up into vancouver and embarrassed them, and havent played any worse since

but who cares about arguing whose best, Rangers are in the #1 spot right now

I think they refer to them as the Boston Bruins. Ok being serious now all jokes aside there is no arguing Boston is currently the best team in hockey. Period.

i agree. they hand out beat downs daily. the bruins are fierce. i got them at 10-1 to repeat. they are 6-1 now

Ok with respect to Lundquist vs. Thomas....I am here to say that Tim Thomas with 2 Vezina trophies 1 stanley cup is currently the best goaltender in the NHL and is just 1 more stanley cup victory from being a LOCK (yep that word) for the Hall of Fame.

So....using the Patrick Roy method of selecting winners in a playoff round I will take my chances with Timmy Thomas against any current team in the NHL.

I'm not an NHL expert, but from what I've seen so far this year the B's are essentially giving the rest of the league a punk test that nobody has passed to this point.

That said, the Rangers appear to have the right blend of defensive fortitude, goaltending, offensive depth, and general grind-it-out mentality that can at least stand a chance against the Bruins. Boston is clearly the better team thus far, but I think you'd be hard pressed to sincerely believe that a B's/Rangers series wouldn't go 6 or 7.

They are in the #1 spot because they have more loser points. The Bruins have the same amount of wins in less games

Meanwhile Lundqvist has never been past the 2nd round

The Bruins are the best team in the league.  The Rangers are great and have a great goalie but they are not as deep as the Bruins lines 1 through 4.  The Rangers top line is tremendous and they have better starts, but the Bruins have solid role players in Peverly, Kelly and others to slow Gabby down.  The Bruins have a terrific two in Seguin and Marchand.  Oh and they also have the Lucic line and a ton of bruisers.  The Rangers IMO don't have the D to beat the Bruins over 7 games.

I'm a homer but I think I'm right.
