What people may fail to appreciate right now is that this is the Tebow Twilight. Its not like we are going to see a decade, or 15 years of tebow. His career has already moved backwards, from starter to backup. He is house entertainment. Not a QB talent to ride to a crown. John Elway knows.

He will get the time he wants to sit on the bench. As long as he stays healthy & can run, since that's all he can do, he will get his much desired camera time. He loves camera like octo-mom. kardashian. etc.

But inevitably, he will end up like Doug Flutie. Fun to watch. useless for glory.

anyhow. you wont get many chances to fade such an awful quarterback for an entire game, one that means nothing. He will be on the bench the rest of the season, so this game is the only opportunity you will have to make the easy money fading tim tebow.

you might say hold on now son, tebow was a live doggy last season. This is true. The stout defense of the broncos enabled them to hang around & cover spreads. But if you recall, most games the broncos didnt score diddly squat.

i think the eagles defense is gonna have a little extra sauce then just any preseason game, as tebow is very polarizing. Eagles will be chomping on the bit to darn this guy up. kick his behind to the curb. Introduce him to Philly football.

Eagles, & the under. Jets might score 3.

benching Doug Flutie for that useless peice of garbage Rob Johnson or whatever his name was lol, worked out well. love for some Bills fans to chime in here. insert Wade Phillips is an idiot and won't win anything ever. (can't remember what year that was) '99 i think. maybe i'm just being a bias canadian fan... Flutie was a wicked qb.

don't compare Flutie to Tebow, that's absolutley rediculous man. have no idea where you are comming from with that comparison.

After being on the wrong side of too many Tebow comebacks last season, I ended up backing him vs. Carolina, and I can see he has only gotten worse.

Looking at the Philly game, several things come to mind that make me want to POUND the Eagles.

First, one cannot attribute all of Denver's success to just Tebow.  When he was playing with the starters for the Denver Broncos, he had better protection from his offensive line than he has with the Jets second team line (Wayne Hunter has been terrible in protection).  Tebow is a run first QB, looking to tuck and run at the first sight of pressure, scrambling out of the pocket.  Once this occurs, his mechanics break down and his ability to deliver the ball accurately to receivers decreases significantly.  Secondly he is horrible at looking off secondary help, often times staring down his receivers the entire time.  Finally, the offensive plays that he will be playing in this preseason, I think will be somewhat different than what he will be expected to do during the regular season when he will be in the Wildcat.  The Jets do not want to run any Wildcat plays during the preseason.

Finally, Nick Foles is legit.  Had heavy money on the Eagles vs. the Pats, and thought I was screwed once Vick went down and the Pats got up 11-0.  The guy really impressed me leading the Eagles to a comeback win.  I will take the better passer every time.

To put it simply, backing Tebow and these Jets, to be frank, when they are down by a TD, and wanting Tebow to lead a drive and score a TD for a win is like staring up at an insurmountable and is one of the most depressing feelings in the world.  That is how I felt when DEREK ANDERSON scored a TD in the 2nd half of last week's preseason game to put the Jets down 17-12.

I will be laying the wood, or rather the whole goddamn forest, on the Eagles this Thursday.

when Doug Flutie started his NFL career with the  Chicago and the Pats  not much success .

back then all  NFL  QBs unless being in a 2 min drill  took snaps under center   with the exception of Buffalo's Jim Kelley .who  took most  if not all snaps from the shotgun ,

.With Flutie being 5'9 the vision problem at that height was tough to overcome in the NFL

Flutie goes on to the CFL  plays well for years  ,then comes back to the NFL and goes to the perfect team in Buffalo gets to take snaps in the shotgun ,this helps with the height factor now he's not so close to the line trying to look over 6'5  linemen  and gave him more space to use his quickness to create passing lanes .

Have to give the guy credit  had some good years  in  Buffalo and San diego .

true, true. flutie was much better then tebow. my comparison was primarily with respect to an expectation of winning that never materialized. sorry to step on the flutie fanbase.
