Great documentary.  Someone states that the sale of marijuana could generate as much as 14 billion dollars a year in tax revenue if not more.

I agree they always talk about what a cash crop marijuana is and if it were taxed, espec if they set the tax high like with tobacco the country would have a new gigantic revenue stream.  Also It always baffles me why more politicians don't push to legalize online gambling for the same reason.  So many billions of dollars going to the Caribbean that could be used in the US.  I mean sports gambling is already legal in Nevada and so many other forms are already available all over the country, plus the United Kingdom has been doing it for a while,  I know its an old question especoally on this site lol, and the leagues are against it, but it seems like a no-brainer imo

Believe it or not, I've seen this harmless little plant turn motivated people into zombies.  I've also seen it turn very depressed people into happier people.

What people want to ignore, is that it's still a mind altering drug.  Like cigarettes, like alcohol, like black tar heroin.  Smoking weed can be a lot of fun.  Just smoke responsibly.  Or you could wind up letting life pass you by.

I think weed and gambling should be legal ... but I also think they can both be real bad for you .......

Honestly, I can't believe how utterly stupid some people can be.

what is your experience using it for the medicinal benefits?

Millions of people smoke pot and lead productive lives.  I do.  My friends do.  Look at all the actors, musicians, writers, singers, etc. that smoke it.  And they make millions.  Some strains of weed make you lazy at the time.  But many of us are just lazy in general.  I often become very productive when I smoke.  Lazy people that smoke weed are going to be lazy.  People that aren't lazy wont become lazy all the time if they smoke on a daily or weekly basis.  It just doesn't happen.

So really, in essence, you can't really say it's a negative that should be associated with it.  Because the abuse of anything makes you counter productive.

Consider this too.  How many people are lazy with hangovers from drinking and, for the most part, get nothing done when hungover?  The lettuce doesn't give you hangovers.  I think if you'd compare the two, alcohol probably creates more inactivity in a person than weed does.

I get what you are saying, but I don't think you really get what I am saying.

It seems that weed hasn't affected your life negatively, so you feel that it doesn't have the power to affect anyone elses life negatively. Which it can.

Eating, playing video games and smoking cigs don't de-motivate you. Smoking weed in itself doesn't demotivate you either, its what happens AFTER you smoke.

Eating, video games, cigs and smoking weed are all choices, but the affect you get from smoking weed demotivates you much, much worse than the others on that list.

I'm not trying to argue, but I know what I am talking about. Weed is a de-motivator (I understand other things that are not done in moderation can darn your life up) but from a motivation stand point, weed is a lot different than the other 'vices' you mentioned.
